FWIW I hated the 1986 He-Man movie because it was such a laughable mess. It's just awful.

Maybe. But considering every memorable song from Moana was solely from LMM (Where You Are, How Far I'll Go, You're Welcome, Shiny), my expectations are very low. It'll be like Frozen 2 where you go in expecting Let It Go and leave with Into the Unknown. Where You Are and Shiny were co-written. (Asi...

Tom Bombadil and Goldberry are very bad characters. I didn't think he was available under the original license agreement with the JRRT estate

Metcalf is a year older in NFL Years and is already on his second contract, but they're only a couple months apart in calendar age. I think I saw Aiyuk is going into his 5th year option season, or SF has already picked up that option, which iirc is actually more expensive than Metcalf's salary next ...

There's something with his contract that makes a deal extremely unlikely before June 1. It's like a $10+mil cap savings difference for SEA.

Either (DK) Metcalf or Aiyuk would be awesome additions imo. Metcalf is an absolute unit but has bouts of brain fade. Aiyuk punches above his weight.

Are they all-'Murican family establishments that have a prior history of public support of MAGA and/or shunning DEI stuff? Or do they suck for other reasons?

Furiosa has great WOM and excellent critical response. But this has been the 'worst' Memorial Day boxoffice in like 30 yrs, in term of ticket sales, so it's not just dystopian prequels that are feeling the crunch. I think this is also going to be the first summer in like 15 yrs with no MCU tentpole....

Monaco and I think Baku are the only circuits on the current calendar where teams could even ponder completing a race distance on one compound. It's more a function of the abrasiveness of the track surface than tire durability. There is nothing that mandates the cars be as enormous as they are. Ther...

A couple fun tidbits about Monaco this year - It was the first time in F1 history that the top 10 qualifiers all finished a Grand Prix in their qualifying order. That was put out on iirc official F1 social media, and I frankly still have a hard time believing this was the first time that happened. -...

I think that means it needs bacon and mayonnaise.

I was not, in fact, aware of that. Or if I was I had since forgotten. And also was not aware of or had forgotten about the Sheetz connection.

Spurlock was Schrödinger's director. Simultaneously the best and worst of documentary filmmaking. Very good at crafting and presenting a narrative, very bad at disclosing pertinent information that might otherwise affect the interpretation of that narrative.
(Michael Moore is in this camp, too, imo.)
