This happens often with candidates though. They’re the heir apparent, but then when it comes time to actually run in the race it turns out they’re not so good. Add Trump to the mix and D never really had a chance.

A big part of the problem is the travel league stuff. You have kids who make a travel team, and parents who pay for their kids to play on those teams. Those coaches (not all, but some) are then telling the kids and the parents that they are at a certain level and can have a certain role. And maybe o...

What level is this? Most teams I've coached above like, age 7 (which that young we were required by the league to get everyone about 50% play time anyway) I've always said any concerns around playing time will be brought to me by the player and we will go over what needs to happen for playing time ...

Sports parents continue to be awful. Thirty minutes after we lost a very close game to a conference rival (a team that hasn't lost in conference in two years, and we haven't beat them in six) I get two texts from parents. One saying we need to he'd like to talk "one last time" and the other saying h...

Haha same here1st Manning-cast I’ve watched. It’s 10000000x better than the typical play by play.

Yeah, I’ve got no issue with the finale, or really any of the show. One of the most consistently great shows from start to finish. We’re in the middle of a rewatch now and have about 6 episodes left in the series. Season 6 is rough but I’ll go to bat for that finale any day.

This was a no-brainer for NBC. Worst case, they get people to sign up who then cancel as soon as they can. Best case, they have a bunch of new subscribers, some like the content and keep it, and they've opened the door to more football streaming and more money from the NFL. I hate that this is the d...

I don’t think the nfl cares. They have enough money to do whatever they want. 93 of top 100 highest-rated TV broadcasts in 2023 were NFL games. This is only the second time in six decades an NFL playoff game is not on free TV. The last time they took a playoff game off OTA was a one-off because adv...

Jason Garrett is bad.

Seems like torture, just watching on tv.I’m not sure what it would take for me to sit outside in -20 degree wind chill but it’s definitely not a football game.

Playoffs are usually national broadcast free-to-air. It is an immensely stupid move to put this game exclusively on Peacock. NBC paid a nine-figure sum for exclusive streaming rights as a one-off for this game. The last time the League allowed a playoff game to be exclusive to non-OTA it was the lo...

I’m hoping to qualify for SAVE through some loophole, even though my loans are parent plus loans.

Gotta figure if this was the plan all along he’s been doing a lot with BB behind the scenes to learn, and was just the ILB coach.

Washington has been awful at drafting WR since 2000, except McLuarin. To be fair, they’ve been pretty bad at drafting everything though.
Belichick would be a bad fit there imo. Too much to fix in the time that he’ll probably be around.

Vrabel is the one retread coach I'd consider for Washington, although I assume he'll go to the Pats. Not interested in the shady crap Harbaugh does even though he's won everywhere he's gone. Belichick just feels too much like a Dan Snyder move. Belichixk would be interesting for sure. I’m really no...

We have a two hour delay tomorrow. Lots of flooding, power outages, and high winds today, so assessing roads and damage in the morning. I kinda rolled my eyes that we were off today, even though I was glad about it. But it was the right decision. Buses and student drivers shouldn’t have been out in ...

My kids and wife have an e-learning day tomorrow. Heavy winds, rain, and tornadoes! In January no less. We had 9"+ a week or so ago (pause) so we've been under flood warnings since then. Should be fun. We just had an off day, no remote learning. And don’t need to make it up. How does that work? I j...

Same.I use both, and I always question which one I'm "supposed" to be using. I don't think I have any rhyme or reason to when I use which one, either.
