Not addressing all of your points... but:
The goal horn is excessive.
The announcer is a nice guy, but his yelling is even worse than the horn. One of these days he is just going to have an aneurysm right in the box.

The thing that I can't get past is the idiotic yelling of "O" and "red" during the anthem. As long as they keep doing that I hope that they win NOTHING.

The funny thing about the "O" chant is that it's a residual from the days before the Nationals, when the Baltimore Orioles were the only baseball team for Washington fans to follow. Yelling "O" during the anthem is what they do at Camden Yards. So it doesn't bother me as much as it amuses me that they still do it despite have a local baseball team. The "Red" is just annoying. As is the police siren goal horns. And the yelling.

Call me old fashioned, but a far better strategy than targeting a Caps player is to score more goals than them and kick them out of the playoffs.

I guess it's an odd way of asking who the most valuable player for the caps would be at this point.

Obviously after Crosby left the game, I'm sure there were plenty of angry people who wanted the pens to take out a capital player in response. As that throught went through my head, the next thought was ... well... who?

So then I came up with a Tom Sestito story to ask the question.

Obviously Sullivan isn't Barry Trotz... and so the team will be focused on winning - because thats what winners do.

Ovechkin. It would throw off the entire team. Ovechkin HATES it when people play him physical (much like Malkin) and the rest of the team will get mad at Sesito and go out of their way to go for him.

You just tell Sesito, no fighting... just draw penalties.

They played a pretty timid game 3...I'm not trying to wake them up...plus, there's no one worth removing from their lineup other than Holtby...they'd probably go eye for an eye for another eye and then Grubauer vs Jarry is advantage Grubauer probably...

We've shown we can beat them even with a diminished lineup...let's just **** them up on the scoreboard and get the hell out of here...our next series, hockey gods willing, won't be nearly as taxing from a physicality perspective in all likelihood...

Additionally, it's pretty obvious that the Penguin that does it will hurt himself and the Capital will return before the period is over...those guys just never miss games no matter what...
