This team is shallow as hell. The top 6 will be good. Everything else is iffy. Im not very happy with the team as it stands now. Im not sure what they can do.

I would have loved Condra. That's a good deal for Tampa.

A third line of Kunitz/Sutter/Dupuis, while older, is still pretty good.

Barret Jackman for 2 years at $2M each signed in Nashville. He's lost a lot, but that has just made him angrier....

We lost no players of top 6 level, the best we lost is Comeau... and we added Kessel, and sort-of added Dupuis.

Tyler Biggs, baby!

(I'm joking. I expect another FA signing to fill that.)

Early reports were it was going to Plotnikhov. Haven't heard any announcements there though

kunitz and sutter will start giving a s*** in april, but this line is going to get demolished for the 6 months prior.

They will be fine. They gotta move a contract or two, but they've got money to play with.

anyone else get a feeling there might be more involved, neither the pens or maple leafs have acknowledged the trade.

I figured Plotnikov would be "announced" at 12:01pm today. Sounds like a cheap and decent depth guy from what I have read and seen. Hope he is still in our plans.

I feel a little uncomfortable looking at the roster, I think it takes for granted something that probably shouldn't be taken for granted. That being, Kunitz, Dupuis and Perron will all be able to make positive contributions all season long. I guess I could just see it pushing empty sweaters down the depth chart, as opposed to getting the empty sweaters off the team. But maybe talent will overcome roster deficiencies, in the least, this is going to be a fun team to watch.

$4.85 AAV for the Paul Martin deal. Actually a pretty good deal for San Jose.

I hope the Kessel deal is enough to finally dislodge Kunitz from the PP. :slug:

NJ signed John Moore; 3y, 1.6 per.

The Martin deal is great... except for 4 years.

Have to believe Pens wouldn't give the 4 years. I don't have an issue with that.

Martin should have easily received 5 years and close to 30 million. Look at the sekera deal... hes much better even though older
