Nope. But wouldn't that be the same panel that somehow omitted Malkin from Top 100?There's some good media...Bobfather, Chicken Parm, Engblom, Mike Johnson, etc. guys that know the game...I'd be fine with them...players are stupid. A 50-person panel who actually takes it seriously is better than a 170-person panel who have a lot in common with Troy Loney/n! in the other thread...

Most recent season was actually his junior year.6' 1" 200 lbs, played on German World Cup squad this spring. LW. 2 G, 6 PIMS in 8 games.TIL that we drafted Freddie Tiffels.
21 points (10 G 21 A) as freshman at Western Michigan. Said to be speedy.
2014-15: 32 GP, 11 G, 10 A
2015-16: 36 GP, 7 G, 10 A
2016-17: 37 GP, 9 G, 12 A

Pens open with a back-2-back (STL, @CHI).
First two weeks of the season are games on Weds-Thurs-Sat.
And their one game in Vegas will be the week before we're there for the holiday.

Nice signing. Dude earned the hell out of his first one-way contract.

I guess that Kessel trade worked out ok.

As did the Hornqvist trade.

I thought that a very smart guy said that the Penguins would never win anything with Kessel on the roster... mark his words!!!
Maybe "smart" isn't the right word...

Translation: Leafs interested in Schmidt; price is a 2nd rounder.
If true, Rutherford had better be on the phone with McPhee right now offering slightly more.

Nah, just offer the price. If the Leafs were offering a 2, the deal would be done by now.
My thoughts on Nate Schmidt, for those who are unfamiliar and confused as to why all of a sudden this player appears on every page of this thread...
Nate Schmidt (LD/RD) - Relaxed, mobile defenseman. Schmidt is a fantastic skater. Mobile in all directions. Great on his edges. High end speed and lateral mobility. Has a good head on his shoulders and understands the game just fine. His skating enables him to jump into the rush offensively or sneak in on the weak side. More of a passer than a finisher. Doesn't offer much in the shot department. His offensive skill set isn't fully refined and may never be. He makes a lot of "rough" plays with the puck, there's not a lot of soft touches to his game and that limits his offensive productivity. More than adequate though in terms of base-level passing and even hands...but they're not "plus" material much less gamebreaker stuff. Can play a varied style of defense...and generally chooses his style wisely for the situation. His positioning can waver a little, he needs to ensure that he's always working to get into the right lanes with subtle adjustments. While his relaxed style is nice to have most of the time, there are points in every game where he just underestimates how good this level really is - on both sides of the puck. He shows a good degree of confidence on the ice, but there are some instances where he over plays his hand or just discounts how much better the league is than him. Though he plays a mixed style of defense, he is not a warrior defenseman...he doesn't leave his feet to block shots, he doesn't play very physical, and he doesn't get mixed up in a lot of rough stuff in front. He's efficient and he lets his skating do the work for him. The question is, can he eat tougher minutes if he played opposite of a stronger partner? Probably, but he can't be sleepy if he's going to go against top-six forwards shift after shift.
Role: #4/#5 mobile defenseman

Very clean assessment of Schmidt. Good NCAA boy.

Thanks. I didn't know about his NCAA play other than his freshman year. The only reason I know of him is from the WC coverage on NHL radio! Most recent season was actually his junior year.6' 1" 200 lbs, played on German World Cup squad this spring. It seems dumb that one of the two teams that played the most games of any team last season is saddled with the most back-to-backs.
