Tell me about Brayden Schenn

So, keep in mind I'm kinda liking this deal. We got rid of Lethera who skates like both legs are tied together and to an engine block. I firmly believe if you want to know about a player, ask those who hate him. How glad are you that he's in the West?

He's probably a DoucheFactor-7, but quite frankly, the Flyers have been irrelevant as rivals for a while, so it's more like getting that annoying fly out of your house.

He is surprisingly good on the power play. He feasted a lot of his points (like most Flyers - who as a whole were atrocious 5-on-5) with the man advantage. He can play in the middle of the killers box and execute those subtle little bump plays to alleviate pressure off the perimeter players. At even strength, he runs around like a moron without much of a purpose.

RW/LW/C in that order. Really isn't a center at the NhL level. Plays a rugged game, he is physical and even dirty at times. Seems pretty indestructable. Has adequate puck skills, but he is more of a slot, net-front, off-wing scorer, in that order. Above average skater. Plus finisher/shot. Works well with a center who can actually get some attention from the opposing defense. Also, works well on the PP where the lanes are much more obvious than they are at ES. Lacks the hockey sense and vision to be an impactful center at this level, which is too bad after what I saw him do in Brandon with Matt Calvert and Scott Glennie. He's "caught in between" all the time...his position, his style (pure finisher, power forward, whatever else he tries to be), even on shifts you see him chase a check and then start to switch off and then kind of change his mind on the switch...some nights he works his ass off, and some nights he's just there for the sights and sounds...he has evolved into an odd player. If you needed some slot/far post help on the PP, you won't be disappointed...

Just being honest. I live on this side of the state and catch more Flyers games that the average non-Flyers fan, and it's pretty accurate. He could be a decent player if he cleaned up his game a bit. Maybe a change of scenery will do him well?

I was also confused and was wondering (1) how I was going to live with myself as a Pens fan because Brayden Schenn is the single worst person in the NHL and (2) how could he possibly be traded again in a week under the CBA. phew
