Both Sutter and Bonino were like that. The majority of fans, not just average, didn't know much about either. The top reaction to Sutter was most likely "Is he one of THOSE Sutter's?" as opposed to knowing anything about him specifically. Bonino was probably not known at all in the east unless it was "Was he part of the Kensler trade?" The vast majority of non Carolina/Anaheim/Vancouver fans didn't know anything about either of those guys.I'm just speaking from the point of view of the average fan. I doubt the average fan could name the 3C on the CanesHe was a high first round draft pick and a legacy guy. I'm not sure what was "relatively unknown" about him, seems like he was known as a low ceiling high floor guy.Sutter was a relative unknown when we traded for him just because he was young (24ish) and played for the Canes. Bonino was definitely not an unknown. I would be ok with trading Guentzel but only if we get a pretty penny in return. His value is very high right now
This is what I am getting at. I mean it's argumentative, but I would imagine everyone on here knows who's who. The random borderline fringe fan doesn't even know the entire pens roster let alone someone from another team.
