Tom Brady roast fallout: Former QB says Netflix skewering 'affected my kids,' Nikki Glaser thinks he knew 'exactly what he was getting into'
On Wednesday’s Today With Hoda & Jenna, Glaser — the comedian who drilled Brady during the roast and included a dig at him for leaving a pregnant Moynahan for Bündchen — was asked about his comments. She thought it was “impossible” that he hadn’t considered the repercussions.

Brady “maybe didn’t consider the backlash from his family and how it would affect them,” she allowed. “But I also think Tom Brady does not do anything without doing his research and knowing exactly what he’s getting into.”

Glaser added, “It’s impossible to me that he didn’t consider what could have happened because there’s roast footage out there that you can watch and go, ‘They’re gonna go this hard.’” Though she could see that, given his successful career and “how much people love him,” he could also be in a bubble.

“No one’s ever said a bad thing to him in the past 30 years,” she said, "I really don’t think he thought they were going to go there."
That was certainly the appearance at times early in the proceedings. For about the first half hour he looked like he honestly had no idea what was happening.

My wife asked me if I saw the Butker stuff this morning, and I said that I had. She then asked if I knew his mom was a world renowned physicists... no. I was completely unaware of that. To the googles...

World renowned physicist? No, she is not. Renowned is even a stretch. I would imagine, looking at her history, she certainly was not the trad wife that Butker suggested those young women at the graduation would find their happiness. But renowned physicists she is not.

Obviously, **** Brady right in his face p*ssy...but beyond the fact that he's pretending to not know what a roast is, or that highlighting something your sensitive about just means that more people will pick on it...but didn't Brady himself go up there and attack Kim K.'s kids/family situation?

I think in the context 'a' physicist is probably too much amount of renown.

I didn't watch. All I saw was how he had a Will Smith moment with a Bob Kraft joke.

Did he not think they would make fun of him for that pic of him kissing his son on the lips and the divorce?

I think it's probably more he felt prepared and was willing to take it, but you can't really prepare for something like that. Not excusing his b*tchery, but I wouldn't be surprised if most non-comedians come out of these roast like 'Got Daaammmnn that hurt'. Again, you signed up for it, so you really shouldn't be complaining...but I think it would be really easy to be overconfident in your ability to absorb 3 hours of personal attacks.

I hope that report of Butker and the male cheerleader turns out to be false.

After that commencement speech it was so obvious that he is a closeted, self-hating homosexual. It's the only reason one becomes a bigoted, sexist, self-hating traditionalist Catholic.

But I hope it's false, 'cause I like to be proved wrong. It's a fetish of mine.

I'll try to find where I originally read it, but apparently lip kissing kids, Kraft's handies, and Nick Foles were his "no" list.

The fact that no comedian did their entire slot filled with nothing but these jokes perfectly shows the sad current state of comedy. That would have been my mission

Brady lost three Super Bowls, two to a Hall of Famer* and one to a journeyman scrub despite throwing for the most yards in Super Bowl history. I guess he's a bit sensitive over it.

Oh.

That's seems extra petty in light of Drew Bledsoe's good humor.

And you didn't answer the question. So should he be fired because he said that? Any other punishment?
As anyone who has been in America for the last 10ish years would know, the answer to this continues to be emphatically "yes"...and with a definitely very well researched twist, evidently...

I heard Brady had the Penguins power play in the no list too. It’s why they didn’t make any jokes about it

The nuns from Benedictine don't approve of his speech:
Harrison Butker’s commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas last weekend sparked a culture war firestorm. Now, the sisters of Mount St. Scholastica, a founding institution and sponsor of Benedictine College, have weighed in, denouncing Butker’s remarks as unrepresentative of the ideals of the Catholic liberal arts college.

“Instead of promoting unity in our church, our nation, and the world, his comments seem to have fostered division,” they said in a statement released this week.
"Those uppity broads."

If Butker were some douchebag who treated women like Kleenex and had five kids with five different women, no one would blink an eye. Ain't no petition calling for Butker's former teammate Tyreek Hill to be fired even though Hill has 11 kids with five different women.
