To paraphrase what I posted in the tattoo thread, we are obviously trying to run a more relaxed ship here, but that isn't carte blanche to post whatever you want. We are less than two months old, and obviously we'd like to grow the site and have more people join, and some of the stuff in there was vile, personal, or both.

I'd also encourage people to use the flagging option, it sends us all a notification. In most instances (today being an exception), unless a post is flagged for whatever reason, it's generally let go.

Would just like to go on record here and state that I don't think any of that stuff should have been deleted. First, it dilutes the exchanges we have, and second, I like people to be accountable for the statements they make. (I include myself in that if anything I said was objectionable.)

I tend to agree with tif on this: unusually egregious behavior is easily spotted by the hive and helps to discredit the author. That type of person usually fades away.
