Yeah. An ugly win for sure. A lot for the team to work on.

NFL players in general and this Steelers defense specifically are so incredibly stupid. Everything has to be a big hit or a highlight. Every tackle has to be flying and huge. Gay keeps a drive going because instead of just tackling a guy 3 yards short of the 1st down, he has to try and decapitate him. Shazier can't let the QB slide, he has to drill him going down. Shazier missing so many tackles because just wrapping up and getting to the ground isn't good enough. They, like always, have zero discipline and rack up tons of penalty yards. Just all around stupidity. Unfortunately I just expect it now instead of being surprised by it. I expect them to be a lot better next week but they have a lot of things to improve.

It is just one game against the Browns, but he definitely looks like the game-changer linebacker we have been craving for a long time.

Please go no huddle and let Ben call plays. Cut wire to Haley's mike. Don't need more 2 yard pass routes.
This. Play calling was generally atrocious today.

Watt was the first non-replacement NFL player to record two sacks and an int in his first game.

I was out of pocket for most of the game...it sounded like Haden looked pretty decent? He got the game ball...classy move.

Ben Roethlisberger is now the all time winningest QB in Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Only saw highlights here, but listened to Sirius a bit. Bill and Tunch said it was apparent that Ben and Bell weren't on the same page.

Despite having no impact in the first AB ended up with 186 yards. Best player on the field.

I hope Watt is for real. He looked good in preseason and against the Browns. Let's see how he does against NFL teams.

Any word on Wilcox? He allowed a touchdown, injured himself and drew a 15-yard penalty all on the same play. Hope he's OK and can show us something better next game.

This offense needs to score more points with the weapons they have. Hopefully, Bell shakes off his rust.

And finally...Thank God for Jesse James!

We just can't have nice things on the defensive side of the ball.

I haven't read much, or seen any of the takeways from this game. But is the general sentiment that since the steelers' offense basically sat the preseason out, this game acted as their preseason?

I watched the whole and would that's about right on. The offense (taking away the blocked punt) only scored 14 points. Granted, they probably would have tacked on at least 3 more at the end, if they didn't just kneel to kill the clock. But still, for such a supposedly explosive offense, that's a pretty weak showing. I thought the play-calling was weird at the start of the game, Ben made some bad throws and bad decisions, and there were a couple drops and dumb penalties. I'd like to say those things will work themselves out as the season progresses, but that's pretty much been the Steelers' offense the past several years, particularly on the road.
