I am still not convinced that Liriano and Burnett can pitch this well all season. I hope I am wrong, but you got to think the season will wear on them as it goes on.

That was quite a nail biter yesterday. Great that they pulled that out, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Aoki's two blunders on the base path saved that game. With the off day today, it's much better to be feeling good about the win for an extra day.

Richard still may turn in to this year's Vance Worley, he is starting to get it together in AAA.

It's impractical to think Burnett will keep that up. But I really like the way Liriano has been pitching, and assume that we can count on this level of performance as long as he stays 100% healthy.

We've seen Liriano over the last 2 years, if he stays healthy there's no reason to think he can't keep it up. AJ on the other hand is due to fall back a bit, but still posted a sub 4 ERA in both years in Pittsburgh and I'd expect the same this year.

Could have been better, could have been much worse.

Settle down Chuck, no more 26 pitch innings and let the offense do work.
