I kind of wish it was Burnett on the mound... he certainly would have reacted quite a bit different from what Cole did.

Wood just got tossed. He may have been done anyway but he's gone for sure.

He was talking the whole inning it seemed. Going to the plate yapping and showing the ump how much he was wrong by after the inning probably sealed the deal.

Holy moly STFU about Cuba already
Guaranteed the game is between the Dodgers and either the Red Sox, Marlins, or White Sox.

This umpire's calls seem to be unusually consistent and correct.

No earned runs given up by Melancon in his last 13 appearances.

Great trip and it was really close to being even better. A couple of loses that can only be categorized as dumb. Let's beat up on these jabronis coming in the next three nights

Source of the post Are we going to see DG66 on the kiss cam?
Ha! Not up where we were sitting.

Great game. We had no idea Woods was tossed. No PA announcement, no one around us was talking about it.

Sat behind one of Robert Morris U's goaltenders. Plenty of other Yinzers in our section, too.

Despite being in Braves territory, I had no idea that they are already replacing Turner Field, 21 years after it opened. I found it ridiculous that a stadium can't last longer than that. Of course, it has more to do with making more money than the actual stadium "lasting" a specific amount of time. Sun Trust Field is scheduled to open in 2017.

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for these guys to go 7-3 on a road trip and win what, 13 out of 16? And make up maybe a half game. Just gotta keep plugging. Take care of business at home this week, 2 of the worst teams in the league coming to town.

Eventually missing wainwright and adams will catch up to them right? Right?

that was pretty ridiculous for the Cards to go to LA and take 3/4 and the Cubs to go to Washington and take 3/4.

They're going to need another starting pitcher regardless because there's no way that Liriano and Burnett both avoid stints on the DL. It just seems like stubbornness to keep clinging to Locke, I mean I guess your hoping the offense breaks the game open early and Locke being terrible doesn't prevent the team from winning. I just can't imagine a pitcher with less upside than Locke. The best case scenario is that he doesn't get shelled and can struggle through 6 innings giving up less than 5 runs.

Then there's Tabata, the Locke of the outfield. Best case scenario is one of his soft ground balls makes it out of the infield.

Just nitpicking at the periphery of the roster. I'm just sick of seeing these two guys on the Pirates. I'd rather see some of the guys from Indy given a chance over these two schlepps any day.

At this point watching a game pitched by jeff locke must be categorized as self-destructive behavior

Locke implodes badly, but i dont understand the attitude people have towards him. There is probably a better option in the organization, but he had plenty of productive games this year as well.
