Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe. I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty - you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. But if you make it, I will see you at the Starting Gate!

Really good article in the NYT today about Trump's prospects in Blair County (specifically, Altoona) in 2020:

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/24/us/p ... vania.html
He won about 70 percent of the vote in Blair County, where Altoona is the largest city, in 2016, and that support was an integral part of why Mr. Trump defied forecasts and carried Pennsylvania, a state that will again be critical to his chances in 2020, by about 44,000 votes.

Altoona’s voters have now had more than two years to assess whether Mr. Trump has honored his campaign commitments and whether they will support him again so enthusiastically. Their answer, judging from interviews with more than two dozen voters, is complicated, not the black and white narrative that either Mr. Trump’s supporters or his critics might assume.

You missed the Trump Train, tickets non refundable. But you can hop on at the next stop (2020)

But I think Joe fell asleep during one of Obama's speeches once. That's the only thing I can think of.

I don't think this wrong.
It’s going to be fascinating to watch Joe Biden run an entire campaign void of Twitter activism/engagement and we’re going to lose our minds screaming “debate you coward” into the abyss as Biden rides 30% of D boomers to the nomination.

Interesting,
Since President George W. Bush announced the President’s Malaria Initiative (@PMIgov) in 2005 malaria mortality numbers have more than halved.

I don't know if Joe gets the nom, but the post is right that he isn't going to be courting the Twitter activists. He's not nearly progressive enough. His success, or lack of it, will be another indication of how closely Twitter mirrors the real world or not.
The 30% of D boomers comment is probably incorrect. I'm no where near a boomer and right now he's the most stable of those running. I think you've got that 30% comment but you've also got a lot of middle aged, 30-40 somethings that want to see our politicians not trying to one up each other with barbs on Twitter.

I'd rather my President not be on twitter outside of an official presence. **** twitter.

For anyone but the guy at the helm now, Twitter is neutral. It’s marketing. It doesn’t move the needle in any direction.

Its amazing to me how many cowards and people lacking any convictions or principles exist.

People don't vote on policy platform or voting record. They just vote based on tribalism and personality.

Forget the **** up criminal justice system, military industrial complex, rolling back of basic civil rights and individual liberties

lets just vote based on some creepy old white guy because he seems more neighborly than the current degenerate in office.
