In my day we played on the indoor/outdoor carpet with special "turf cleats", ripped all the skin of our bodies, and had it get infected with sand. Not this fake grass rubber ball nonsense.

Strangest surfaces I have played organized sports on:
A carpet for a basketball game
In Morgantown there's an indoor sports arena that had a rubber floor where I played soccer a few times. Ball bounced like crazy.

I played in soccer tournaments at the Shell Building as well in Morgantown. Fun mix of outdoor/indoor action on that field.Strangest surfaces I have played organized sports on:

I remember there being a strange mix of outdoor/indoor rules as well. Wasn't the "field" the size of an indoor but goals the size of outdoor? And instead of a throw in from out of bounds, you got an indirect kick from the spot where it went out?I played in soccer tournaments at the Shell Building as well in Morgantown. There was one game, right before ours, where a goalie came out to play the ball. Didn't see what happened, but heard that he suffered a compound fracture of his tibia or femur bone. Nasty stuff.

Yep, the field was 70 yards long and used 8x24 goals, with the indoor rules on out of bounds. The best indoor tourney I ever played in was at Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia. Played in their basketball arena and used goals that were 4ft high and 24ft wide.

James Harrison was PED tested again, third time since March. He's not pleased.

This is what passes for "news" in June:

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/1968 ... o-hometown
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback says he intends to list Findlay as his hometown in the team's 2017 media guide. From 2010-16, Roethlisberger listed Cory Rawson, Ohio, as his birthplace. Before then, it was Findlay.
Upon induction into the Hancock County sports hall of fame on April 22, Roethlisberger addressed the frayed relationship with his hometown based on criticism from some locals around 2010, when he faced a sexual assault allegation in Georgia but wasn't charged.
"It hurt me very much. It really made me resent this town," said Roethlisberger of the comments. "I would like to take this moment to say I'm sorry to the hundreds of thousands of supporters I've had from day one here that I let a few bad words said from people cloud my love that you have always had for me."

Labriola thinks that Grimble could be the starter. If Grimble can become more consistent, starting with catching the football, maybe he makes a run at the top of the depth chart.

Does he have any competition though with Green gone
