It looks like the Shangri La sections in Far Cry 4 laid the ground work for Primal. I hated the Shangri La sections in FC4, so Primal holds no interest for me.Thoughts on Far Cry Primal for PS4?

Built a massive science-doing, mobile base in KSP. I sent it to the Venus proxy, the planet Eve. its been one design failure after another.

I've always enjoyed seeing these Kerbal updates. It seems like such an interesting game, but certainly challenging.

Nice rover. I will admit that in all of the time I've played KSP, not one of my Kerbals has ever set foot on Eve. I've sent down plenty of probes and unmanned rovers, but I don't land people unless I have the means to get them back up, and Eve is the toughest planet in the game from which to get into orbit. Not only is the gravity slightly higher than Kerbin's but the atmosphere is pea-soup thick. The atmosphere on Eve at 10,000m is as thick as the atmosphere on Kerbin at sea level, and the Eve atmosphere extends much farther into space. I want to say it takes well over 6,000 m/s worth of ΔV to reach orbit from Eve's sea level.
Playing KSP has certainly taught me that atmosphere in a double-edged sword when it comes to planetary exploration. It makes it much easier to land because you can aerobrake and use parachutes. Landing on Eve barely takes any fuel because parachutes work wonderfully in that soup. But an atmosphere makes it harder to get back into orbit, and the thicker the atmosphere the tougher it gets.

yeah they arent coming back. i think it was at 50/ms before the chutes came out, and was still dropping. I didnt get a chance to see how low because the ground was coming up before i could slow to terminal velocity. luckily i did that in sandbox.

Ahem...Okay?Trigger warning dodint
I think people need to start leaving a trigger warning for dodint when they mention rocket league.
The discussion was MS Cross Platform capability and their latest release doesn't do it, despite all the other platforms doing it. Seems pretty relevant, no? I can play against someone with my PS4 if they're on their Windows10 PC. But XBone won't play with that same person, despite MS trying to merge XBone/Win10. They're contradicting their own efforts.

Finally. The most interesting aspect of this is the possibility of Xbox/PS4 cross-play:
http://news.xbox.com/2016/03/14/letter- ... um=twitterCross-Network Play
First, in addition to natively supporting cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10 games that use Xbox Live, we’re enabling developers to support cross-network play as well. This means players on Xbox One and Windows 10 using Xbox Live will be able to play with players on different online multiplayer networks – including other console and PC networks.
Of course, it’s up to game developers to support this feature, and Xbox Live players will always have the option of choosing to play only with other Xbox Live players. We’re thrilled to confirm that Psyonix’s Rocket League will be one of the first games to take advantage of this new capability by enabling cross-network play between Xbox One and PC players, with an open invitation for other networks to participate as well.

Awww yisss.

Honestly, with the new consoles I don't know why that's not a new feature. People are always going to brand preferred when it comes to buying a system for the most part.
That opens up all of the player pools, and games may not die as fast. Looking at you Battlefield Hardline.

Also, if all developers jump on board, this effectively removes the "buy whichever console your friends have" argument. The basis for buying a console will be solely on preference and exclusives.
By the way, I hope there's a way to disable this or to select to play only against Xbox players. Rocket League will be fine, but a FPS would be a nightmare.

Rocket League allows you to disabled cross platform. Now with three platforms on board I wonder if they'll let you 'disable' certain platforms and not others. I find no real difference between PC and PS4 players, other than you can't text chat cross platform because Sony thought PC gamers would beat up on PS4 gamers on account of the fact the PS4 crowd doesn't typically have a keyboard.

Yeah. Rocket League will be fine as I'm sure a controller is the optimal way to play it. But a PC FPS player would totally slay a console player.

So how would you get console-exclusive gear/stuff to show up on the console that doesn't have it yet?Source of the post The basis for buying a console will be solely on preference and exclusives.
Destiny, for example, runs a model where PS4 gets certain gear a year before Xbox does, or doesn't get all together. If cross-platform were to happen, how would a company get that gear to load into a console that does not have that gear in its memory/database?
Seems like a potential issue.
Video Games
The quasi l-exclusive would go away...or it would just be an exclusive window where one platform gets a release a few months in advance.
Video Games
Or it would be handled the same way current DLC is handled. For example, I never buy DLC map packs, so I never play against the people who have those map packs (i.e. COD).

If you truly cared that much about FPS. I play with a few guys who use mouse and keyboard on their PS4 and absolutely wreck people. Typically, we all play the hardcore setting, but man they can go 64-3 like it's nothing.Yeah. Rocket League will be fine as I'm sure a controller is the optimal way to play it. Man, I haven't played Halo in years. Probably since 2 came out. I think Reach came with my 360 bundle, but I never even tried it.Loading my first halo 5 online game up right now as I type

Last year's RBI baseball was awful. I doubt 2016 will be much better.

You are wrong about part 1, part 2 is probably accurate.

On it's own, it's serviceable at best. Compared to The Show, it's downright awful.

Well if youre comparing it to a baseball sim, thats your problem. Its a $20 game that is also available on mobile devices.
