Nice first half for Cliff so of course he heads back to the locker room just after halftime.

Guess we'll see Allar early

Good win. Glad to see Clifford play well on that last drive and for the D to make some plays.

This game was kinda what I expected -- a lot of question marks in places in a night game in a somewhat hostile environment against an experienced team. They made a TON of mistakes on both sides of the ball but they didn't make the killer mistake that gave them no chance, though the pick-6 should have been the death knell. They got bailed out big time by the arrogance of Brohm not going to a more clock-munching running game with 6:30 left. And despite being incredibly vanilla with the offense tonite, Clifford & Co found the extra gear to get it over the finish line. Many improvements needed and hopefully the Ohio game next week will allow them to get Allar some more time under center and for the whole team to gel a lot better going into Auburn.

I turned it off at half figuring it would be a dub. They didn’t make it easy on themselves, did they?

I honestly don’t understand why they let Clifford play hurt like they do. He’s got no NFL future so just let him do his thing, I guess?

So far so good. Would like to see one game where we blow out an opponent offensively

As expected today. Only concern I really see is the OL maybe.

Well and whatever this mess of a drive is on D.

I know it's only #MACtion but Allar last drive now Singleton's 2nd long TD run.... see what I think after the game next Saturday but I'm liking the future right now.

It is pretty crazy to think most of the bright spots right now are true freshmen. Only up from here, let's hope. Even though the two opponents haven't been huge quality.

I wouldn't sleep on the Purdue win... that might end up being a pretty quality victory. If we can get a win this weekend, we'll be on a good course for the season, I think. We won't beat all three: OSU, MSU, and Mich, but we might be able to get 1 or 2 Ws there.

Yes, Purdue on the road is never an easy win.

So what do we expect tomorrow?

Penn State has the better team. Auburn is at home AND James Franklin is the Nittany Lions coach. Mr. Franklin just pushed his away record at Penn State above .500 with the win at Purdue. He is 19-18 on the road as PSU's head coach. PSU is going to try and get the run game going. Auburn is allowing just under 70 yards per game. PSU's defense will keep Auburn to under 3 touchdowns.

PSU is a 3ish point favorite... I think they cover. 34-20 with a big PSU win.

I'm never hopeful. A win would be nice, but I see them losing by a touchdown.

Auburn’s QB is blah so they’re gonna try to run it much like they did last year. Stop the run, you likely win the game. Don’t know much about the Auburn D but hopefully the o-line can get some holes going.

I subjected myself to the Auburn/San Jose State game last Saturday and wasn't impressed.

Franklin is 11-17 vs ranked teams and extra super abysmal vs ranked teams on the road. Fortunately Auburn is not a ranked team.

PSU 31, Auburn 27

Feel like this is one of those games where they either lay an absolute egg, or win by 17.

This should be the first game that the Manny Diaz defense is 'fully operational', so it'll be interesting to see what kind of scheme he comes up with. Agreed that they have to stop the run.

Offense will probably be a mixture of TFL and boom plays with little to no rhythm as they rotate 4 RBs in and out and leave the most talented QB on the sidelines.

I think I'm leaning towards egg. It's an afternoon SEC road game, and Franklin tends to get stupid in big, potentially season defining games.
