When it comes to milk, I'm a traditionalist. None of this fancy pants coconut/almond crap. Give me it straight from the teat.
There's a farm near Edinboro that sells raw milk and unpasteurized cheese. Haven't tried them yet, but have heard good things.
Raw milk is illegal in Maryland.
You need a special permit, with regular testing and inspections, to sell it in PA. They're the only farm in Erie County with a permit.
It's illegal in NJ too.

Because, you know, listeria isn't fun.

i like 2%. went through a skim phase for a while. I tried whole milk a few times and felt sick. Almond milk is ok. Coconut milk is good straight out of the coconut, i regret that period of time where i bought into the coconut water thing.

Whilst at a wine festival in the Finger Lakes, I gave my wife a piece of unpasteurized cheese to try. While pregnant :scared:

I had myself worked up into a panic for a good week after that.

I'm surprised 1% is leading. I don't think I've ever seen 1% in anyone's fridge before.

We usually buy skim milk but I bought coconut milk yesterday to change things up. Overall though I second this quote from Mikey:
Drinking another mammal's milk...? yargh...
Drinking cow baby food is just weird to me.

I've tried raw milk. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The taste isn't that great and the side effects it gave me are even worse.

That said, I'm a 1% guy.

Whole, raw milk. Anything less would be a disservice to our ancestors who survived millennia of evolution getting us to the top of the food chain.

I find this disturbing, mainly because the gentleman in purple thats whistling will follow me in my dreams in horror.

That said, I LOATHE milk. I don't mind dairy; I like cheese, yogurt, and don't mind a good whole whipping cream in vodka sauce or alfredo, but I cannot stand drinking milk.

I've tried it before about a year ago, and I thought I was going to be sick. I heard beer strengthens bones so maybe that'll prevent me from broken ankles while walking

Woohoo. I don't know how people can drink 1%. It's half water. 2% tastes like milk.

Almond. I prefer coconut milk but almond is more versatile.

I had a milk allergy as a baby, and my mother fed me soy milk pretty much through my whole childhood. I can consume milk products now without any problems, but I've never been a fan of cow's milk. I usually buy the Rice Dream rice milk.

Skim all the way for me. Wife does the almond "milk". In quotes because it doesn't pass the Focker test i.e. if it doesn't come from nipples, it ain't milk.
