Yeah. They're good for helping shooters with hearing loss and keeping noise pollution down. They're not stealth at all.

Was the gunman taken down by an armed good Samaritan, or by Scalise's Capitol Police security detail?

I think suppressors should be legalized but let's not act like I couldn't shoot a 22. Magnum with a suppressor on it in an apartment building and no one would even think anything of it

As in a revolver, lol? I don't doubt that it couldn't be used, suppressors run as much as pistols (3-600+) dollars. I doubt even the average criminal would want to pay twice to hurt someone.

:)

I was referring to the "anti 2nd amendment" angle you were pushing. Were you implying that this guy went to the trouble of procuring a semi-automatic "assault rifle" (I'm being sarcastic, @Morkle) and shot a bunch of Republican politicians to try and create more clamoring for gun control? I couldn't tell if you were being facetious or not.

If I was reading it right, I think the point was basically that you'll see both sides of the political aisle fund raising off this and trying to make hay. Which is despicable.

It is just gross and a product of the net zero mentality.

I pretty much lump this case into radicalized political figure if the comments and stuff he posted were true, I don't think it was an attack on anything but a radical belief system.

Honestly, everyone is incredibly lucky that this guy had absolutely awful aim. He fired off at least 20-30 uncontested rounds and hit one person with it. I would imagine security detail was shot once they started firing back.

And because people are stupid and crazy it is dangerous to peddle in conspiracies and hate speech. And while it obviously exists on both sides, it is much more institutionalized on the right.

I think both sides have crazies that aren't indicative of the greater group.

Man, the world we've become. The #2 story on the NYP is "Man cheats on pregnant fiance on a packed flight"

Clearly, it just seems like a Hannity has much more influence than say Louise Mensch.

I mean sure, both sides do it though. I forget who said it, but said that it should be ok to punch nazis, then called republicans nazis. There's ALOT of dangerous speech thrown about on both sides. The US couldn't be more divided.
