DONALD TRUMP, FELIX SATER AND THE MOB: LAWYERS PUSH TO UNSEAL COURT DOCUMENTS THEY SAY COULD SHOW FRAUD BY PRESIDENT
https://www.google.com/amp/www.newsweek ... %3Famp%3D1

My apologies for the all caps.

As speculated (by me) in this very thread, Trump's shady business deals around the globe are the most likely thing to bring him down.

Other than being needlessly expensive, did this race matter at all...?

It's almost like the Democrats didn't learn anything last fall (also that conservative districts are still conservative).

KS-4
2016 Pompeo 61-30
2017 Estes 53-46
Net change: - 8

MT at-large
2016 Zinke 56-41
2017 Gianforte 50-44
Net change: - 6

GA-6
2016 Price 62-38
2017 Handel 52-48
Net change: - 10

SC-5
2016 Mulvaney 59-39
2017 Norman 51-48
Net change: - 8

Those are big numbers in only 7 months, and they establish a clear trend line. But 'moral victories' only go so far; Democrats need to start putting butts in seats.

I wouldn't have paid attention, had it been in another state.

The DNC seems completely incompetent, so I wouldn't start making bets.

The 2016 political media industry needs to have something to talk about. There has to be something to either stoke the rage or results to try to influence.

I'm much more interesting in the SCOTUS. taking on the re-districting case. My district fell victim to that, hence me voting for myself in November: only one party bothered to field a candidate. Bring on the algorithms. :)

considering they ran a guy who doesn't even live in that district. :face:
Handel got a big burn in yesterday morning when she went to vote for herself. she very distinctly told the press, "My opponent can't do this." :scared:

left: look at the votes compared to 7 months ago, it's a slow race to 2018
right: they still can't find a way to beat Trump

I don't think there is anything wrong saying they are both right

Yesterday Spicy said the WH didn't think these special elections meant anything significant. Later when it was clear that Handel would win, Trump did a victory dance on twitter. While the D did lose these special elections, they did make significant in-roads to cutting the margin of victory traditionally held in those heavy red areas.
