Florida gave Mrs Tif COVID, who in turn gave me COVID. So, f**k Florida, generally.

The bumps in the joint at the top of my right index finger have grown over the last month. The pain factor stepped up a notch as well. I had bloodwork done last week that shows I'm slightly hypocalcemic, so not sure if that is related. I can see the same bumps starting to grow in the same place on my left index finger. Really hoping for the best, the thought of developing rheumatoid or something with how active I want/like to be is a little scary.

Trying not to freak out but man it has been rough since I turned 40

Slept 12 hours last night (with some assistance from NyQuil) and feel so much better. Still have a sore throat, but man oh man. I feel like a million bucks compared to yesterday.
Same except only 9 hours. Thank God. Weird bug
Did you randomly just get super bloodshot eyes a few days after it knocked you on your ass for a day. My daughter had it about 2 days post sickness, I’ve got it today (day 4 of illness).
No I haven't knock on wood. I started getting sick 12/21, was on my arse 12/22-12/23, felt OK 12/24 and decent yesterday and today. Throat still doesn't feel great unless I drink something hot or take ibuprofen
It took the kangaroo more than two weeks to finally get rid if the runny nose and probably around a week to get ride of the sore throat. This all happened about a month ago. It’s not Covid, but whatever it is, it blows.
Sore throat went away yesterday and now I'm just pouring scum out of my beak

I’ve gone through a box and a half of tissues in the past 4-5 days. Just an absurd amount of yellow scum be spewing.

If it makes you feel any better I woke up to hock a loogie at like 4:00 last night. Keep in mind that I initially got sick on December 13. It’s the mucus that just won’t quit.

The biggest issue right now is mucus settled into my left ear and it’s completely clogged. Has been for 3 days now. Annoying as sh*t.

Woke up around 4am yesterday to pee, got back into bed and was drifting off and "bam" my defibrillator shocked me. Some sort of tachycardia event and I have to go see the surgeon next week.

It was but the other time it went off, it went off 5 times in a minute and a half at the airport. That was scary.

I have no idea how defibrillators work, so forgive my ignorance. Did you feel anything odd in your chest before the zap? Like does it catch things before you do?

Neither time. The first time I was completely out of breath and stuck with KN95 mask and I heart rate hit 200. This time, nothing.

Ugh, that sucks skully. I’m one week out from my fever day. I’m still waking up with buckets of mucus in my head and a hangover feeling without drinking anything the night before. My left ear (side I sleep on) is still clogged, and this morning was the first one in about 4 days that I woke up without my eyes being crusted shut.

All in all this cold is 2/10. Would not recommend.

Weirdest thing yesterday. Woke up with a headache, gradually got chills, felt like pin pricks all over me, body aches all over. Quarantined downstairs, COVID was negative. Couldn't watch TV, my head ached too much. Couldn't eat. Slept like a rock most of the day, was able to eat some chicken noodle soup last night. Started coughing a bit. I was thinking- this is exactly how it went last time I got the flu. Came on with no warning and I was miserable for a week. And I had had the shot that time, I didn't yet this year.

This morning- maybe a vague headache but nothing else. I feel fine. So happy, I thought I'd be out of commission at least a week.
