Source of the post Do people still download podcasts?

What do you mean?

Are you asking (1) do I manually download every episode of every podcast myself; or (2) do the episodes reside on my device so I can listen offline?

(1) No
(2) Yes, I have Sprint and live in the woods and who wants to pay for data overages when they have wifi at home anyway?

I only listen to podcasts at home, so bandwidth savings isn't an issue; nor is having to worry about storage space.

How can you tell if you've listened to an episode already? I jump around a lot and can keep it straight because if it's on the device it's un-listened.

I *never* listen to podcasts on a PC.

I just listen on my phone.

As to your other question, I just look at the streaming list for any particular podcast and generally can remember if I've heard an episode.

For once Lauren lapkus is missing from a comedy bang bang special group episode. This is an amazing Xmas present. It means so much more to me than it should.

there are so many great female guests on that show. And Lauren lapkus is actually kind of funny. She just turns into a steaming turd when she goes on that show doing those characters. The biggest issue being that she is physically incapable of keeping her mouth shut. She is like an ADHD child who can't sit still in class. Has to chime in at all times, regardless of if she has anything to say.

I enjoyed that episode, because that's making fun of Amy Schumer's entire shtick.

Worst example of this on CBB was actually Colin Hanks a long time ago. Comedians doing this...ok. I get it. Non-funny people doing this and you want to tear your face off. He would just chime in and literally not even know how to finish his sentence. He had no plan. I guess he was just crossing his fingers hoping something funny would accidentally happen.

I'm hooked. This is pretty much the greatest thing ever.

I'm struggling through this. A few gems here and there but it's a thinly veiled Bruins podcasts and I can't tell you the number of ways I don't care about the intricacies of the Bruins organization. I'm only on episode 2 so hopefully it picks up once there is more to talk about. I had to listen to "Patrice Bergeron is the best two-way player in the game" while brushing my teeth today, followed up by a long homage to Bobby Orr. Yargh.

Okay, yeah, I'm 8 episodes in now and it's gotten much better. Just knowing that guys that played the game **** hate Pierre McGuire is so rewarding. Listened to the Mike Commodore episode while getting ready this morning and it was a hoot.
