Idk about you but the snack wraps were always bought in addition to something else. An add on item I otherwise don't buy..

As we're heading into school basketball season, which means more fast food dinners after games and practice. Yay!
Some observations:
My wife just got a Moe's chicken burrito (technically a salad, as it had no tortilla), with no drink or queso, for $14+ including tax. This was a $8-9 very recently. No bueno.
Wendy's has a peppermint frosty, and it's good. They also have a chili cheese baked potato which was excellent for what it was. I did not have them put on the cheese sauce, just shredded cheddar.
Each parent is in charge of a team meal before a game. Believe it or not, Firehouse Subs is cheaper (slightly) than Subway. Firehouse is much better quality bread, meat etc.

I guess it’s not really fast food and doesn’t need its own thread but…. What was Primanti’s doing in Michigan anyway? Odd place for a regional restaurant to expand imo.

In other sort of fast food news, other than stadium locations, there are no longer any Quaker Steak and Lube locations in SWPA. There are several somewhat nearby in Ohio, Erie, State College, Wheeling, apparently one at SRU and the original in Sharon but none within 50 miles of downtown.
Their quality had gone downhill in the past 10 years and the original has always been the best, but still I was surprised when I tried to order from the one in Robinson last month and it was permanently closed

Cranberry one closed up right before the pandemic, but yeah, expansion did them no favors. Got even worse when that truck stop company bought them. I visited the Sharon location many times when growing up, many times waiting well over an hour for a table.

Erie one closed last fall and is reopening next weekend. The new one will be attached to Splash Lagoon water park and will include an 8-lane Duckpin Bowling lounge.

I didn't know duckpin bowling was still around.Erie one closed last fall and is reopening next weekend. The new one will be attached to Splash Lagoon water park and will include an 8-lane Duckpin Bowling lounge.
We used to go to a place in Baldwin that was half duckpin, half 10 pin. Duckpins were much more difficult.

Saw this from our local Mad Mex on FB:
We stopped going long ago because the food was below average, and service was even worse. I guess it never improved. We have made the difficult decision to temporarily close due to the ongoing challenges that we've been facing since the start of the COVID pandemic.
We will use the time of this temporary closure to consider the best way to reopen and move forward. Thank you for your patience, and we hope to see you again soon.
