JFC I didn't even make the initial post. I responded to it. Tho I'm definitely not surprised it almost went without even being mentioned.

What is the 25th amendment?
It's complicated, but it's a feature of our Constitution that empowers the Vice President (with the support of a majority of Cabinet secretaries) to basically stage a legal coup if they feel the president is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office". In a way, I think this would be a far worse outcome than impeachment or even resignation.

Oh look... accusing a poster of racism. Standard practice for the liberal/progressive posters here.

It was put in place basically because Woodrow Wilson was in stroke-induced coma for the last two years of his presidency. The Constitution did not put into place clear language as to what to do in that situation. Last time it was invoked was when GWB went in for colon surgery and Cheney was President for 4 hours.

New research released Monday by a team of economists at the University of Washington suggests the wage hike may have come at a significant cost: The increase led to steep declines in employment for low-wage workers, and a drop in hours for those who kept their jobs. Crucially, the negative impact of lost jobs and hours more than offset the benefits of higher wages — on average, low-wage workers earned $125 per month less because of the higher wage, a small but significant decline.

“The goal of this policy was to deliver higher incomes to people who were struggling to make ends meet in the city,” said Jacob Vigdor, a University of Washington economist who was one of the study’s authors. “You’ve got to watch out because at some point you run the risk of harming the people you set out to help.”
Gee, who didn't see this coming?
The study omitted employers with multiple locations. So minimum wage workers at places like Target or Walgreens, and certainly employees of fast food chains, were not captured in this data. All told, that means 40% of Seattle's minimum wage labor force was not analyzed in this research.
 @ all the righties in here getting all excited by a week old story about an obviously flawed, non peer-reviewed study that backs up their flawed views of the minimum wage.

There's certainly a tipping point with local minimum wages. It's not clear if that study (?) has isolated one for Seattle.

While there may be a tipping point, it's most certainly north of $10/hr. It's a disgrace that it's gotten to the point that it would need to be raised 50% (to $10.88) to match what it was 50 years ago when adjusted for inflation.

Are all fast food restaurants not included? Or just corporate ones?

Unclear, as the omission I read was just 'operating a business with multiple locations'. For example, there were a couple ramen places in LA that were family-owned. One had two locations, and another had four. I would think all the employees at those six restaurants would've been excluded in that study.

Or logic... "He had a baseball hat on"? There is no baseball hat in the world big enough to ensure that Chris Christie gets no sun when he's outside.

Yes Trump is a **** ing moron and needs to get off twitter, which he won't because he is a psychotic child, but CNN and all MSM media outlets need to get off their high horses. They are all dishonest ratings pushing garbage throwers.

But yes someone needs to slap the phone out of Trump's hand and strap him in a straight jacket tied to a bed.
