Boeing kills another whistleblower.

Dean’s mother wrote in a Facebook post last month that her son was “fighting for his life” after contracting pneumonia and suffering a stroke following an MRSA infection.

The Seattle Times, which first reported his death, said Dean was 45 years old and had “been in good health and was noted for having a healthy lifestyle”.

Dean’s death comes less than two months after Boeing whistleblower John Barnett was found dead from what South Carolina authorities said was an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Barnett, 62, had been in the midst of a deposition in a lawsuit against Boeing after suffering retaliation for exposing safety problems with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, according to his lawyers.

MRSA infection seems harder to do than a gun shot to the head. But I guess they could have paid off the docs to say it was a MRSA infection? I dunno.

also, seems like there’s “escalation” regarding Israel/Palestine protests in UCLA. I don’t think King Slutsky realizes how she and her ilk, along with crazy pro-Israel protestors, are making things so much worse. I feel like the flames are being fanned by bad actors like the Russians or something. At this point it feels like it’s easy to get people really riled up and pissed off and lose all sense of sensibility in the US


the last few years have felt like the “slow motion” one would feel before a car crash or something. Except it hasn’t felt like the car has crashed yet. The US really feels like it’s deteriorating. I’m not sure how people can be too hopeful about the future

tbf Nam is kind of a predecessor to the modern spiral were in. It exposed a particular ugliness of he government’s affairs

the US has a very imperfect history but I guess ultimately no country is perfect; what country hasn’t had a despicable colonial campaign or a war where they committed war crimes?

but where the US is right now feels really bad and I’m not sure in what form or when the turning point will be. Possibly I’m being overdramatic but how can anyone look at the current political and social landscape and be excited?
