**** Google. I've been a loyal Firefox user from the start, so this has no real impact to me.

I used to be a Firefox user until they decided if they couldn't beat Chrome they'll just skin themselves to look exactly like Chrome. So I switched to Chrome.

I use CustomCSSforFx for Firefox because I'm not really a fan of the new GUI.

I think that was the strategy. Make the browser look similar to others so that when a user who decides they don't want Google/Microsoft to snoop on them any longer tries it, they are familiar with the layout. I'm not sure if the strategy has worked up to now. But since Google keeps making the Chrome experience worse, it seems to put them in a good spot.

Hoping I am putting this in the right spot... I just got a 2nd monitor. What would be the easiest way to switch my display from my work laptop to my PC? Will I just have to deal with unplugging from my laptop and plugging into PC?

Buy an HMDI/DisplayPort switch, whichever format the monitor uses. On A, it’s connected to your desktop. On B, your work laptop.

One cable from the pc to the switch, one from the laptop to the switch, and one from the switch to the monitor.

Thanks! I guess this is where I am getting confused. I also had to a buy an HDMI adapter to extend my laptop screens to both monitors. I ordered it off Amazon so it hasn't came yet.

So could I take that and plug into one end of the switch, and my PC connection into the other end?

Now I’m a little confused on your setup. Can you describe all of the devices and their connections?

I have my laptop and monitor that I have connected via HDMI. I also have my personal computer that I have connected via another HDMI cord. I also just bought this so I can extend my display https://a.co/d/gXQRMgD

Okay, so does your PC only connect to a single monitor then? I’m heading out now, but was going to draw something up to help visualize what you’re doing.

I've tried replying twice, but PM's aren't leaving my Outbox (thanks, @Morkle). Anyway, here's the reply:

So you want to either use both monitors for your home PC or both monitors for your work laptop, correct? If so, all you should need is a KVM/switch like this (and more HDMI cables).

That looks like a solid solution, and it comes with a handy button to switch between the two easily. From your original post, it almost sounded like you wanted one monitor dedicated to the home PC, and you wanted to switch the second monitor between your home PC and laptop. But I was also tired as hell, and could have just misinterpreted everything, lol.

So maybe @Joegap's inbox is full?

Edit: Maybe not. I just sent you a PM and it's stuck in the Outbox, too.

@Joegap, you might want to look into a keyboard/mouse combo that can support multiple devices. That way you can have one set of controls on your desk that will work with both machines.

Something like this:
https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products ... 08219.html

There are different options at price points. I think you can just plug the wireless receiver into a USB port on that KVM switch NTP mentioned, and toggle the switch on the keyboard itself to flip between work computer and personal computer.
