tifosi77's thread of Musk
I don't really disagree with you, and firings for conduct/statements made on company operated DM channels aren't exactly uncommon. But it might matter what company policy was before Muskrat showed up if that policy hasn't been changed and if accepting that policy was a condition of employment. That's exactly what it is. It doesn't matter one bit what the company policy was before he showed up. He owns the company, he's a colossal baby...so you should know that things are different. What you could post and talk about before he showed up, isn't the same thing you can do after. But if the company policy has previously been to air any grievances/issues in the open, and the policy hasn't been changed despite new ownership, then this is just Musk being a Canaan for the sake of being a Canaan because he can't take criticism.
Not saying it's right, but you have to be more self aware.

Part of it I think is because the situation at Meta has been a writing-on-the-wall thing for several years. Derps fresh out of college go there into $130k marketing jobs, and it wasn't sustainable. I don't know what the longer term picture was at Twitter, but the proximate cause of these layoffs is solely Musk's leveraged acquisition; he doesn't buy the company, all those people still have jobs there today. It's pretty black-and-white in this case imoWhere are all the tears for the 11,000 individuals meta laid off? The tech industry is volatile. They knew that going in

Remember those Japanese soldiers who wouldn't surrender in WW2? Some of them were still holding out into the 1970s!

Saying someone has a nervous system condition when you yourself have a neurological and developmental disorder is real big brain stuff

S**t-talking a person who is not only the boss, but also the owner of the company, is also "real big brain stuff."
The Twitter employees getting fired for insubordination are utter morons and deserve what they get.

I've worked for my firm for over 15 years. I get along well with everyone. If I stood up in front of everyone and called the senior partners a bunch of dadholes, I would be out on the curb in about 5 minutes, and I would expect nothing less. How freaking stupid does one have to be to s**t-talk the owner of the company and expect to still have a job? That crap certainly wouldn't fly with me if I were the boss. And it wouldn't be because they would be attacking me or hurting my feelings. Anyone who is stupid enough to do that is too stupid to work for my company.

Agree that anyone taking their employment grievances to twitter gets canned, that's a fair analogy to what you're saying.I've worked for my firm for over 15 years. I get along well with everyone. But I believe I saw that he's taken to having his people comb through the slack channels to find people criticizing him. Granted it's not private because it's on the twitter company channels or whatever. But employees griping to one another because the new boss is flying off the handle and likely making their work-life pretty miserable is going to happen. If you're okay with your bosses going through all the company emails and messaging apps looking for "disloyalty", then god help you.

For a few accounts. I'm not sure what the criteria is, but I'm seeing plenty without the official tag stillI noticed they added "official" with a check mark under those with legit blue checks

Going forward, to build a breakthrough Twitter 2.0 and succeed in an increasingly competitive world, we will need to be extremely hardcore. This will mean working long hours at high intensity. Only exceptional performance will constitute a passing grade.
Twitter will also be much more engineering-driven. Design and product management will still be very important and report to me, but those writing great code will constitute the majority of our team and have the greatest sway.
At its heart, Twitter is a software and servers company, so l think this makes sense.
If you are sure that you want to be part of the new Twitter, please click yes on the link below:

Anyone who has not done so by 5pm ET tomorrow (Thursday) will receive three months of severance.
Whatever decision you make, thank you for your efforts to make Twitter successful.
