That’s the other part I like about those events. Hearing explanations of why each thing works. Or as you pointed out, someone taking the piss. It’s a good time.Another thumbs up for spectating speedruns. It's not something I'd ever really be interested in doing myself, esp some of the campaign-based games with trophies and s**t. But watching, say, Anthony Caliber run Uncharted 3 in under 2 hrs (with Nolan North heckling him the whole time) can be a blast.

Both Nazis and Communists expressed totalitarian, authoritarian control over business and the economy, which was required to be subservient to the goals of the "Us." That one did it by eliminating private companies and the other did it by coopting private companies (and both functionally did it at gunpoint) is a difference in means—but not philosophy.
Government control over business and the economy is a feature of left-wing economics, not right wing. The more control, the farther to the left. The less control, the farther to the right. At some point on the right, business may start to even run the government. The far-right extreme would be a form of corporatism, where government is either nonexistent or is entirely subservient to business interests (think the setting of The Outer Worlds video game). On that spectrum, both Nazis and Communists are on the left side.

Summoning Salt is a great YouTube channel documenting the history of speed runs. I get sucked in all the time, even for games I have never played.

This is I think the second time in like two months a Tesla recall has been corrected by a software update before news of the recall was ever even reported. But it does beg the question of whether or not the company would've expended the effort to write and push the update if not for the recall. Tesla pushes updates to their cars all the time, but it's usually for relatively useless things like Plaid that's 0.1s quicker to 60 mph or a new game you can play on your center display.
But speaking as someone who drives a car that is currently the subject of a backup camera recall that cannot be fixed by a software update (and cannot be physically repaired, either, because the parts required for that model year are no longer part of the manufacturer's supply chain), I really wish the issue could be corrected by an OTA software update. Because that s**t is f**king annoying.

Yeah. I'll take any opportunity to **** on Tesla, but this ain't one of them. Recalls happen all the time. I just scheduled service for a recall on possible faulty seatbelt installation on my car. I'd much rather have a bum backup cam that can be updated OTA.

Edebiri wouldn’t be replacing Depp. It’s not like they’re recasting Jack Sparrow.

How dare they portray the raping and pillaging pirates in an ethnically off-key fashion.
[They already pay homage to the two most famous pirate ladies in the original POTC film. The glorified cameo role of "AnnaMaria" (played by Zoe Saldana) references Anne Bonny and Mary Reade.
(Actually, it doesn't, I'm making that up. One of the screenwriters debunked it, saying the character is named after his daughter, and just didn't change the name after doing piratical research and learning of the two Golden Age pirate queens. Pure happenstance.)]

I really enjoyed the original POTC movies. If they want to tell a different story in the same universe with a new cast, I'm all for it.

Well, no sht.SpaceX said in its suit the NLRB accusations are likely to harm the company’s reputation and its ability to recruit new employees. If the company loses, it might also have to reinstate the workers with back pay. The employees were all engineers, according to their lawyer Laurie Burgess.
