My band is titanium (not for underrated James Cameron movie-related reasons) and can't be resized. Which is a shame, as I am......... differently proportioned now than when we got hitched. I can't wear the ring on my finger anymore, so I've taken to wearing it around my neck a la Nathan Drake in the Uncharted video games. Last year I bought a toy replica Uncharted ring to hang in my office as a tchotchke with my other movie and video game nonsense, and as a goof I took the ring off the necklace and put it on my finger. It was a perfect fit. So I've actually been wearing that stupid toy Uncharted ring as my wedding band for a year, with my real ring around my neck.
I'm currently looking to get one of those silicone bands now. I'll probably still wear the real thing around my neck, since it's engraved.

check out sams club and/or costco. i bought my triton ring there (plain tungsten) for 50 bucks - was selling 200ish at other placesWedding band (ring?) advice, bros? I don't really have any concept of what I want. I don't wear jewelry whatsoever. No piercings. I know that I don't like gold - like the color of it I don't like...I have no strong feelings about anything on the periodic table or whatever it's called...what was your process? Is there anything to this or is it just "pick something that doesn't look horrible and put it on your hand, asswipe" territory...?

I went into the wedding ring store and said show me your cheapest ring and bought that one. After 16 years of marriage, I see other rings and think, oh hey, those are cool, I'd like that one, but then I think about all the other important **** that I should throw money at first and forget about it. I also have other rings I wear on different fingers so who gives a ****

I've only just barely heard of the guy, but I understand Dave Portnoy is the guy behind Barstool Sports. I've only seen him on YouTube eating pizza. Anyway, Portnoy recently announced that after "two years of development," he was launching his own brand of watches called Brick Watch Company, which is currently selling two models: a basic time/date automatic watch and a quartz chronograph, both for $2,399. And the watch world immediately started crapping all over the watches.
The prices on those watches are way, way too high. One can buy quartz chronographs from mainstream brands using either the exact same or a comparable quartz movement for 1/4 of that price or less. That quartz movement can be purchased at wholesale for around $40. The Sellita SW200 that's in the Brick automatic is maybe a $200 movement at wholesale, and you can get it in a ton of watches from established brands for less money. For the same price as the automatic watch that Brick is selling, one could buy a Longines Spirit that has a way better movement, is COSC chronometer certified, and comes from an established company that is nearly 300 years old, and you'd still have $250 left over. One could get a Sinn 556, which has the same Sellita SW200 movement, has better styling, and comes from a 60-year-old company known for superb build quality, for $1,600. Here's an example of the criticism.
Portnoy, for his part, has not been taking the criticism well:

lol, can't believe the barstool luxury watches are not up to the effete watch community standards
but, yeah, if you had no idea who portnoy was, then you wouldn't know why the idea of his watch brand being another grift is obvious.
but that post to me is like those youtube music reaction videos

Exactly. That's an excellent example of the gormless, ignorant attitude that Portnoy is relying upon to sell overpriced watches to suckers.
