Big fan of college basketball.

NBA, not so much.
I used to be, I think college has the same problems as the NBA does.
100% agree. Three pointer boring chuckfests.

I just can't get into basketball. I never enjoyed playing it as a kid, either. Had more fun playing wiffleball or street hockey growing up.

One thing that bothered me about basketball outside of the gameplay currently...the points are virtually worthless...how do you even clap when a team scores, it just doesn't matter...most other sports are like four scoring plays to three or thereabouts...basketball is like 472,000 to 389 million...the most exciting play is a sassy block, and even then, you're penalized for it because it's out on you and the other team gets to try again...

basketball and hockey are both experiencing a similar phenomenon. coaching and gamesmanship are paramount, with coaches and GM's now embracing the subtle things that get you wins - which often makes for sh***y viewing. hack a shaq deandre, endless 3 point attempts, iso plays...not fun. but unlike hockey, the stars in basketball are still impacting the game at the same level.

the 2 sports seem to be moving in opposite directions in one way, though. basketball seems to be embracing the hate again, and hockey is trying to eliminate it. it's for player safety, which is a righteous cause. but no one is going to be tuning into games in 10 years because those execs are such compassionate fellas.

It's funny how the NBA and NHL have opposite problems but the same end result. The NBA refs call too many fouls which forces a bunch of free throws and slows the game down. The NHL refs don't call anything so offenses struggle and slows the game down.

I like both though

He is charged with murder, deadly conduct and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, all of which carry a possible sentence of life in prison and a $10,000 fine.

^^ that's why there isn't any outrage

Nikki Glaser cut her hair. She looks like she's either pregnant or running for office. Either way it makes me sad.

I just can't get into basketball.
My class valedictorian was Pam Webber, of the UConn 35-0 team with Rebecca Lobo. Growing up, my summer nights were partly defined by her kicking my ass 1-on-1 until I hit a growth spurt and ended up a foot taller than her.

I still hate basketball.

I just know her from @midnight. I couldn't name a single other thing she does. She's not bad looking tho. Also Pi Day > May the 4th be with you. But that's not exactly a ringing endorsement.
