Encounter #2 yesterday with litterbug. It was a stare down. He was drinking his 32oz icehouse, I had my bo staff. No words were exchanged. The dance continues.
Just reading 32 oz icehouse gave me crusty lips and a headache

Did you ever have a dream that sticks with you all day...and not in a good way.

I had a very lucid dream that basically ended with my alarm this morning where I was arrested because they thought I was someone else. Wouldn't let me call anyone, and refused to verify my 'real' identity. Took my shoes. The one detective guy looked like young Randy Quaid. Telling me things like 'your parents want nothing to do with you' and 'your wife already remarried'. Like, WTF?!? Total confusion, fear, frustration, panic.

Woke up sweating and my heart racing a bit on the verge of tears. Just realized that I'm still a bit shook. Why does our brain do that sht?

Chantix gave me lucid dreams I couldn't stand so I had to stop taking it. It got to the point where I never felt like I slept because I was mentally living real life 24 hours a day.

Lucid dreams are not where the dreams feel real, it's where you realize you are in a dream and are able to manipulate the atmosphere around you a la Neo.

Lucid dreams make me think of that movie Waking Life and how much I hate it.

Hmm...you are 100% correct. So what would this be. Just like vivid, or hyper-realistic? It was one of those that nothing was outlandish or out of place. Everything seemed very real.

Vivid would probably be a better word. Lucid dreams can be very unrealistic as well. I went down a really deep rabbit hole with lucid dreams about 15 years ago. Found that you could increase the chances of getting them by doing certain things and training yourself to realize you are in the dream more often. Problem was it required setting an alarm at 3-4AM everyday and first thing you do is wave your hand. Think Inception and the totem.

Back to your original question, I've had dreams that have lingered with me all day, sometimes more. It's not always negative, either.

Ah, vivid dream seams to be the preferred nomenclature. TIL

The more screwed up my dream is, the more i enjoy it. No such thing as a bad one. I’ve died a couple times. Been in some real hairy situations and always wake up. It’s a fun escape imo.

…except the one time I was moving a fridge and it tipped over onto my daughter. That was an actual bad one. But anything outside of the kiddos is fair game. Bring it on.

That could be a sign of sleep apnea.

I feel like cannabis users experience this more than most... At least if they take breaks ever

Yeah, same.

And definitely not sleep apnea related...

That said, my frequency of remembering dreams has increased since moving to NYC...

All the crazy dreams happened when I was younger.

But yeah. When you use before bed time, zero dreams whatsoever.
