I respect the people that like Apple products because of the simplicity, and that's not meant as an insult. Big gap between that and the fanbois and fangurls.

iMac: tired of fooling with Linux at home and have enough of it at work (though no longer directly theses days); sure as hell not going to own a Windows machine
Apple TV: seemed to be a better product than Roku
iPhone: My Samsung stopped charging, due to hardware (and not battery) problems

I feel like it's both sides. Please tell me more about how your Android is superior to my iPhone. I really want to hear it.

For me, I'm invested in the ecosystem. Phone, Computer, Watch - and the simplicity of Google Drive, and One Drive make me never really want to switch.

Yup. One thing that keeps me with the Droid is being able to DL SNES and GBA emulators and play games for free. Those emulators don't pass muster in the Apple store.

iPhone 7, which I really, really like, and an iPad mini that I won which I also really, really like. I certainly wouldn't call myself a fanboi though.

I've got no real beef with the products, different strokes for different folks. It's the iFools that grate.

On another note, my buddy is going to be commissioning a new CG Fast Response Cutter in Cape May on March 18th, and sent me an invite to the ceremony. Should be a fun reunion.

That is objectively stupid. I hope when they do find that special someone, that person is riddled with herpes.

I think people in here were talking about wedding rings... last week my ring almost got snagged in the one automated cleaner we have. Put a pretty deep scratch on it. Could have been a lot worse. Decided to order a silicone ring from groove life. Scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I'm interested to see how it feels on my finger.

if the silicone makes your finger sweat to the point of annoyance, check out ceramic ones. theyll shatter before degloving and theyre pretty comfortable.

Thanks. I specifically picked groove life after reading review after review about finger sweat because that was a concern of mine. The grooves they have on the inside of the ring supposedly take care of that. I'll report back though once I've gotten the ring and wear it for a bit.

Welp, the rule for tomorrow has already been disseminated. Either come into the office if the office is open (which it will be), or take PTO.

I really cannot stand how stupidly inflexible this company is. If I were to work from home, I would probably start at 7:30 or so. Instead, because this company is so stupid as to not even allow telecommuting in a winter storm, **** them. I'm going to take my sweet ass time getting out the door in the morning, because it will take several hours for the roads to be cleared. I'll **** around, shovel my driveway, enjoy a nice hot shower, and stroll out the door around 11.

Because this company (specifically our department) is so damned stupid, they will lose four hours of productivity from me tomorrow because they insist I kill myself getting to work. Congratulations?

I have the same first name as a friend's husband; she keeps incorrectly texting me about their daily finances.
It's kind of funny.

@Kicksave will text me from time to time with car sales related information followed immediately with "wrong Jesse, sorry."
