Bit into a particularly defensive sandwich on Saturday, felt something weird, been in some pain ever since. I have experience treating tooth pain with garlic cloves and vodka, but I decided to do the adult thing and consult a dentist for the first time since I was like 17...

Went in at noon, he goes, "tooth is cracked, can't salvage it..."

So I got it yanked right then and there, zip zip...back on the job (though I did push back my 2 pm meeting that I'm leading to 3:30 pm to allow for the numbness to go down and to remove the gauze) by 1 pm...

First ever tooth pulled, he did a great job, didn't feel a thing on the tooth pulling part... :thumb:

First tooth pull? What kind of hockey player are you? Actually. Don’t answer that. I already know.

My current dentist told me that bread is the number one cause of tooth cracks. He said that chewed bread is so pliable that it completely fills all the creases in your tooth and when you chew there isn’t anywhere for it to go and boom crack city.

The only time I ever cracked a tooth was while chewing bread. Checks out.

Hmph interesting, and I don't eat bread hardly at all...I even remarked after I ordered, "What the hell was that, did I just black out?"

I have lost two teeth playing football somehow...but zero playing hockey. Since I was in college I have played with no visor, no cage, and I have played like Hornqvist for the last almost 10 years now...(the years before that I played usually like, uhh, hmmm...Yanic Perreault? A little later, maybe a slower Manny Malhotra? Tough to say, I didn't really have a model)...

The D you are battling must be swinging pillows at you. Unless by playing like Hornqvist you mean unable to carry it over a line.

And Manny Malhotra?? Your job was to win a draw and get the F off the ice immediately?

I had to have a molar pulled and the implant was quoted at $4K.

No, I don't know what I'm really supposed to do or should do. He gave me a couple options, like an implant or a bridge...but I have no clue what to do...

I much prefer Jimmy John's.

I hope that picture is some sort of a gag, because carrying that much is just plain stupid.

Crazy. Especially for a molar.. I could see if it was your front tooth and you didn't want a visible tooth missing your whole life
