I just heard the other day that there are more bracket outcomes than there are grains of sand on earth.

FAU-NW didn't even break 40 points in the first half

If you’re FAU, how is that the look you want at the end of the game?

They should have never been in that position. They had 2 fouls to give and should have made sure to use one as soon as NW made the move to go to the basket. Incredibly dumb.

Definitely… hard to understand that thought process on some of these late game decisions.

22 million+ ESPN brackets and only 306 still perfect. At least 49 will go with this Auburn/Yale result.

13 seed Yale got a gift to beat Brown in the Ivy tourney, now beats 4 seed Auburn.

I was gonna try to start an SEC chant at the South Carolina game yesterday but decided against it. A few drinks and probably would have.

Three teams of the 8 in Spokane are from Alabama. Alabama's playing Charleston and Auburn played Yale.

Somebody buy the committee a globe.

Day 2 Musings:

--SEC! SEC! SEC! Bama & A&M lit up the scoreboard in the night session to save the conference's face a little bit but it's fun to watch that conference get arrows slung at it.
--I was wondering if I was ever going to get an upset right. Finally got them with JMU, Grand Canyon, and Utah State with underdog ML winners. All three are incredibly dangerous to win their next game, too.
--I have these rules for the final possession depending on the score. If you're tied, you go to the basket. FAU elected to hoist a contested 25-footer when Davis had plenty of time to get a much closer look. But the more egregious move was FAU leading by 2 with :15 left and still had 2 fouls to give. They used neither and NW got a really good look to tie the game. Coaches get paid millions. For what reason, I have no idea sometimes.
--Now that Bama has escaped Charleston, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they make the Elite 8. That offense does travel and makes up for a lot of their defensive shortfalls, which are many. GCU isn't a defensive team. Iowa State is and would have the formula to shut down their machine.
--SMART KIDS!! Love yapping Bruce Pearl getting sent home because his team doesn't do the fundamental things in crunchtime. And Yale just keeps getting up off the deck when they're down deep. If they somehow face Northwestern in the Sweet 16, you'll need a 1400 SAT score to be allowed to buy a ticket.

I must not understand supply and demand. I had assumed that as game time got nearer the prices on the hundreds of tickets out there for today’s games would come down, especially with the biggest name team already gone. Nope. Cheapest you can get in for is $140 each. I ain’t paying Rolling Stones prices for this. I’d like to spend the day there with my kid but we can watch on TV.

So whoever has these tix listed, scalpers, fans, whoever, are all willing to eat the value rather than sell for, let’s say $50 and get some of their investment back? What am I missing? There are seriously hundreds of seats on the resale sites. At 7:30 tonight their value becomes $0.

I know, trying to apply logic to the event ticket market. Cute.

I’m not sure how long you can wait to buy, but as it gets closer and closer to tip today, I’m guessing they’ll drop quite a bit.

I think wake forest and Pitt would both have made it through the first round. UVA was bad, but everyone knew they were bad.

Wasn’t paying attention most of the year, but how did they finish third in the acc?
