Hate to see it. Oh btw the big twelve is overrated
I think wake forest and Pitt would both have made it through the first round. UVA was bad, but everyone knew they were bad.

Wasn’t paying attention most of the year, but how did they finish third in the acc?
They started off hot and fell apart. Kinda opposite of Pitt, which is why I think some preference should be given to current form. UVA hasn't beaten a team in the tournament since February 3

Virginia was a lesser-case same scenario as Oklahoma was a few years ago when they had Trae Young -- rip thru the non-con and start the season something like 13-0 and then completely fall apart once you get into your league schedule. The committee would have been justified in leaving Oklahoma out even if you acknowledged the 'full body of work' because sometimes common basketball sense needs to kick in. Pitt throttling Virginia at C'ville should have held a lot more weight than Virginia winning one game in the ACC Tournament.

Kinda had a good feeling about them, no hype at all and kinda flying under the radar. Their offense has been very good second half of the year. Bet big on them -3.5 today

Rooting for Oakland but was that not a backcourt violation?

No, not backcourt. You can throw it back on an inbounds… I’m not sure what the announcers are complaining about.

I thought it was more cause it was tipped by Oakland and then went backcourt but I don’t know the rules all that well lol.

You have to have possession of the ball, so the tip doesn’t really matter.

Yes they started in SLC pre 11 am local and last hame in PIT tips after 10 PM local. Has no personal effect on me just annoying is all.

Also both SLC games involved west coast teams. Last one here did too but still.

Day 3 musings...

--I hope @RonnieFranchise ponied up the cash for those 2 games tonight. Those were beauties.
--I feel bad for Oakland cuz they had that game but they kept leaving that corner open in their zone and they weren't completely buttoned up. What a great run and it's nice to see a 40-year coach like Kampe get his due.
--Somehow, Oregon got it to OT with 2 guys scoring all their points from halftime on. I'm not sure how Creighton allowed that to happen.
--Dusty May took the Michigan job tonight. Hopefully for Weaselrine fans, he understands the fouls situation in a tight game unlike Friday's deal.
--Tennessee-Texas was an awful game. If my Vols pick wants to get to Phoenix, they'd better wake up that offense. I liked how Candace Parker practically slayed them at halftime of the Oregon game when doing the analysis.
--I really hope I don't have to listen to Steve Lappas do any more games going forward in this Tournament. He wasn't that great of a coach and his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Then he tries to get involved in rules deals and has no clue what the rule actually is (the backcourt whining in the Oakland-NC State OT...which oh btw, where the hell was Gene Steratore on that play, CBS?).
--Got all 7 of the results I needed for my bracket today (lost Kentucky to the Sweet 16). Sunday is gonna be ultra-important for that piece of paper.

Sadly, we had a dog emergency and any money and time yesterday was spent on emergency veterinary services. After which I couldn't stay up for the OT and just watched it this morning.

Cousinard and Dante were something else but two guys isn't enough to go far in the tourney. Creighton is very talented but I'm just not sure they are aggressive enough to make a run. I know a team from Rhode Island that beat them twice, BTW....

Big East 4-0.... I swore I'd never root for UConn and yeah, PC probably would have lost in Dayton, but I'm still that kind of pissed off.
