Amortizing intangible assets isn’t some sort of high flying arcane tax strategy

What that article generally leaves out is that when the owner eventually sells the team, the taxable gain is based on the depriciated value. So the IRS will get their money eventually

Actually if you go on the YouTubes and watch videos of trout and videos of Davis they have very similar swings.

The problem is that the things Davis does wrong completely derail everything. Thats why he pulls everything

What's slightly concerning is how bad the minor league teams are. Indy is around .500, but Altoona has lost 14 in a row or something. Bradenton not much better. I know they aren't supposed to win per se, but develop players...but the Pirates farm system is supposed to be pretty well stocked. Or so I was told.
