Sure, but that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about Experts in a field that can't be quantified appointed by networks that don't care if they're right or wrong. It's educated guessing at best. I said Kiper's draft report card is meaningless. It's based on how he thinks they should have been taken, and the record shows where he thinks picks should be taken doesn't have any statistical value.

Congrats, the Steelers got an A- from Mel Kiper in 2015. He gave the Seahawks a C- in 2012. Forgive me for not being buoyed by his optimism.
Exactly, that's why I said I ignore any "grade" or whatever. Im saying its difficult to say Kiper is objectively bad without comparing him to his peers

The first article I posted shows that both him and his closest peer are bad. ;)

I'd say it's a pretty inexact "science" to begin with. otherwise there would be a lot less busts and few surprises. It makes me scratch my head that these guys are somewhat deified by the unwashed masses. Fortunately for me, I can choose to not watch/listen to anything they say.

The same could be said of scouting staffs and GMs who follow their advice.

With Draft Analysts being so proficient I can only assume the Steelers got one hell of a bargain.

Do da Stillers employ any of their good guy retired players to help mentor rookies off the field?

Jerry Olsavsky is ILB coach. Joey Porter is OLB coach. Carnell Lake is DB coach.

Sure, but any who aren't coaches?
I guess I'm thinking of a player development role, with an emphasis on keeping your nose clean and learning how to be a professional off the field.

hey, we're secretly planning to move a team across the country. Quick, get the web-designer.

1 day later.

Professional web-designer: I think I'll put this on the production network.

Yeah, okay.

SEC accidently posted all of their "Welcome Texas A&M" stuff on their live web before the deal was even done and a pending lawsuit from Baylor was going on. They had to immediately take it down and 4 months later, they put it back up when it was officially announced.

It happens.

Re:Chip Kelly
You see how fast he got rid of all the good players. Especially all the good black players. He got rid of them the fastest. That's the truth. There's a reason. ... It's hard to explain with him. But there's a reason he got rid of all the black players -- the good ones -- like that.
