Our February trip to FL for in person training got cancelled.
I'm conflicted, would have been nice to take the trip and get a change of scenery. But it's also nice not having to buy new shirts and a pair of shoes for this. I've got about 10+ lbs of covid weight added on, partly from eating like a jackass, but also my exercise is completely different in the pandemic. Where pre-pandemic my workout was bike commuting downtown to work, and is now lifting at the gym.

I don't think much of biking as an exercise. I find it boring, biking commuting though, was faster, cheaper, and a morning workout.

I'm 100% the opposite. Running is very boring, biking is more exciting. Get to cover more distance and see more of the scenery.I don't think much of biking as an exercise. I find it boring, biking commuting though, was faster, cheaper, and a morning workout.

What do you do when you get to work? Shower? Change? Walk around with street grime and musk through the day?I don't think much of biking as an exercise. I find it boring, biking commuting though, was faster, cheaper, and a morning workout.

Holy shitballs /antiwork has ratcheted their ability to be annoying as **** all the way to 11 now that it is open again. Do they not realize nobody outside of the sub actually cares about them? It's like watching second graders try to self-govern.Looks like r/antiwork is still private but r/workreform is now booming. Much better name anyway. Imagine killing your gigantic subreddit and being replaced by another one in less than 24 hours.

The new mod is apparently very active on r/incest and r/sanctionedsuicide, which was axed for egging people on to off themselves. I'm in a project meeting in Teams and the PM is taking roll verbally... when the entire list of participants is visible on the right.

Luckily, I'm not actually needed for this project, so this will be the one and only time I have to deal with it for this PM.

Our company was absorbed by a larger PE firm recently... The transition and integration has been a total nightmare. No communication. I'm now dealing with the owner of this other company while also having my own managers here.
The worst part though is that this company that we are affiliated with strikes me as the worst stereotype of the industry we are in. Their employment contract that they use to hire providers is insane. Onerous doesn't do it justice.
I just got a nice raise and a transaction bonus, but I honestly don't know if I can work under this new framework. The CEO of our company is 67...I have a great relationship with him but I also know he will be gone in a couple years in all likelihood. He is taking care of me now but the thought of working for the management at this other company? Forget it.
