Followed a blind guy into the stairwell. As soon as he hit the first step he got his bearings and ran up the stairs, leaving me well behind.
You didn't tell him that he should be going down to exit the building? Prick.

;)

I just didn't feel like waiting in line for an elevator when the entire building was there. I used to walk the stairs every morning but haven'ts since February or so.

What kind of holiday schedule yinz have next week? I only have Tuesday off. Seems silly to go in on Monday only to be off on Tuesday, but I don't want to take it off because it'll likely be a slack off day anyways.

Yea we work on Monday, I took it off. I should have taken today off too. Not going to the beach this year is killing my summer motivation.

Same.

Very silly. But it's going to be a busy day for me...more than a couple meetings, close of billing, etc. Then I hired someone to start on that Wednesday...and I'm taking a rare day off on Friday...so at least it will go by quick...

This was my first year at the beach since my honeymoon and it was fan-f*cking-tastic. I'm already looking into stuff for next summer.

Yea, this is the first time we've haven't gone in like 8 years. It is absolutely awful. It's really messed with my mood / motivation as I'm used to a long week break.

I'm not taking off on Monday, because it will be a tremendously easy day. I can probably roll in around 9, leave at 2, and just get some stuff done that I don't have time to do when I am being harassed constantly with emails/calls. I can't justify wasting a full day of PTO on that day.

Plus, mentally it's that much easier to work that day knowing I have another day off on the back end.

We have our annual 3-day party Ultimate tournament this weekend. 3rd day is Monday. I probably could've taken off, but hald the office is off and I don't get paid if I don't show up, so I'm cutting my trip short. We also get out 2 hours early on Monday so yay, I guess.

F the easy day thing. Monday off all the way. 4 day weekend > 2 days, 1 day, even if easy, then 1 day off. F that noise.

Not if you're trying to save PTO days... If I had a full bank of PTO days, then yeah. I'd be taking Monday off, but I'm in save mode.

If I make it past 11am on Monday, I'll be shocked. I expect to be on a train home by that time.

Yeah. I'll come in about a half hour late and will probably get sent home about 2-2.5 hours early.

The office is already dead, probably only had around 75% attendance to begin with. I'm guessing everyone will be gone by 2 or 3 at the latest. Monday and Tuesday off, then next week we start summer hours where we close at 1 pm on Fridays for like six weeks. So I'm approaching a 21-hour work week to return from the 4-day holiday.

Monday is one of those days that I'd rather go in for a few hours and save my time, since I use a hell of a lot of vacation time every year.

With wicked child on this one. When life gives you a 4 day weekend for the price of 3, you take it.

I was off this week (although some would say I'm "off" all the time), and work is closed Monday - Wednesday. Most of my staff is off Thursday and Friday, but I'll be there. My direct two superiors are taking the rest of next week off, as is most of my college. It should be real quiet. Like take the Retropi to work quiet.
