Learned that there are more cuts coming. My boss says I'm safe, but I don't trust him or anything at my company anymore. It's crazy how I went from a pretty strong high thinking I could retire here, to coming to terms that my time could end at any time.

Good luck, Morkle. Either way I'm certain you'll be the last to know.

lol thanks, and 100%.
The only saving grace I have is that the last cuts, they gave me 40% more workload. So maybe they view me as someone to give more work to. I think I'm doing fine, but it's been a month since then.
Secondly, maybe they gave me that work - because they thought I'd just quit, but sucks for them, because I'm either here, or getting paid unemployment lol.

I have a virtual assistant that schedules all my screens for me. I love it and it makes my job so much easier, but sometimes I think it's out to get me. Six back to back screens before lunch tomorrow and then 3 more back to back afterIf you try to wedge a non emergency call into the only 1/2 hour you can clearly see I have available between 10 AM and 4 PM tomorrow, I decline. Please go eat a penis.

Your wife's team seems so Fd. Cause they told us one of the days had to be Monday or Friday lol. That's awesome. My wife's team was informed today that their in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday which is, IMO, the best you can ask for in this dumb situation.Granted an official mileage exemption from the RTO plans. I'm 48 miles straight line, and 73 mile drive. Woot. Guess that just means I will be the first one let go lol

They were told the same and then I guess someone realized that it's logistically imposible to require that.Your wife's team seems so Fd. I'm almost two months into my new job and really liking it. I'm on the phone a much greater part of the day (not recruiting a tiny specialty anymore) and my calendar is booked but it's a very structured process which was totally lacking the last six years and I like it. We use Workday, which is about as process driven as it gets for an HRIS platform, and man have I been missing out.
I met the EVP of Operations today as well as the SMD I support. He's been here 40 years, she's been here over half that. Everyone is very pleasant.
After the wild west insanity of working for an aggressive PE backed start up, working for an established, publicly traded company feels really nice

We are batting around the idea of switching ERPs from Core to Workday. You like Workday that much?

Workday is outstanding, IMO. Far better than any system that I've ever had to use in the past.We are batting around the idea of switching ERPs from Core to Workday. You like Workday that much?

Yeah, it's just a terrific system overall. Being able to quickly navigate the site and get to the info you want to see is great, and it actually looks like a modern site compared to others.

Workday for "ordinary" use, I guess, is very good...for more complex situations and for working with them for building integrations is really quite terrible. Maybe we just had a bad couple of instances, but each integration that we've built with them has been a total nightmare. One of their PMs effectively called an outbound API call to our system to be an "untested" and "unproven" method of communication and insisted that webhooks were the "tried and true" method.
Uhhh...lady...I have some interesting, followed by bad, news for you...
What's worse is that she did that with our mutual client's higher ups on the call and totally poisoned the project for us. It took me months to rebuild the relationship and trust...and even then, I'm not sure that it's fully back...

Oh we don't us it for anything that complex. Certainly not integrations of any kind.

We have it integrated with damn near everything. We’re a Fortune 15 company, though, so I’m sure we had more resources at our disposal during implementation.

Speaking of work I was in the office today for a couple hours today and noticed someone punched a hole in the bathroom wall.
I wonder how long that will take to get fixed.

We’re an acumatica company here. It’s nice, but I don’t know any other ERP systems to know if it’s any better than others.

What are people using workday? I only use to request time off/enter sick time and set my quarterly goals.
