Their young player - who missed six months with head injuries - just comes back (well, second game) and he gets bodied in the last second of the game at home and no one so much as belches in the general direction of Niko Mikkola or Miko Nikkola whatever his name is...hmph...

I bet we see Rempe in game 2...

Yeah, that was strange for nobody to take a run over there to exchange postgame meal destinations.

I texted someone the same thing. How the hell did nobody go at him... normally when you lose a playoff game you're begging for a reason to go stir **** up at the end... if the teams were reversed it would have been like 7 minutes of chaos

suter/pavelski/lindell/benn/seguin are going to have a hard time keeping up this series
esp when dallas is going with 5 D and suter and lindell are slower than molasses rolling down a 6% grade

That might be the first or second ES goal Tanev has been out for all playoffs I think...and he's played a ton.

why Johnston? he doesn’t really have great stats which I know isn’t everything but it isn’t nothing. Drai has more than twice as many points

I’d have Oettinger on there instead

It definitely wouldn't be Otter next, it'd be Heiskanen. Otter has been up and down this playoffs for me. More good than bad, but averaging stats are for losers. Can't win a series on ratios.

Johnston has been hugely impactful. The best Dallas forward, if not best player. Plus, he saved the playoffs for them. Winning game 3 at Vegas (plus scoring the first goal of the game, in the 1st on the road in the pivotal game 3).

Draisaitl can have as many points as he wants...it doesn't impact Johnston's impact.

I didn't see the replay, but that whole thing was silly at live speed...Bouchard gives it away, as usual...starts a sudden change situation, Bouchard interferes with the Dallas player...then the pucks goes into the corner, and Ekholm takes his helmet off...also a penalty. So the player goes off, and then it gets kicked around in there and they get hit with one...and I'm not saying it isn't a TMM...but that sequence wasn't really Dallas' fault...

Oilers have had a couple of really good looks on breakaways that have gone a bit haywire.
