There must be something to that Marleau contract that the Leafs can take advantage of after year 2...not to say that GMs are infallible but I can't imagine Lamoriello doing something this stupid without some kind of backdoor way out...
Deal him to Arizona? ;)

I don't hate that Marleau deal. He can still skate, score, play 18 minutes a night, and is as durable as they come. If you had to bet on someone his age playing another three productive years, I'd throw money down on Marleau.

Auston Matthews current LW is a guy who is not as good as Scott Wilson, let's not lose sight of that either...

Looks like Radulov is going to the big D. Probably for too long and too much money.

Don't forget that Hitchcock is their coach. He should be able to suck the life out of a potential top line of Benn-Seguin-Radulov.

Still question that Radulov deal. 5 years is a lot of faith in someone who doesn't deserve it.

But his Montreal teammates raved about his work ethic. You know? That one year he came back into the league and played his bag off for a big pay day?

I wouldn't trust Radulov any more than I could throw him and I'm a bit out of shape to be throwing Russians around again.

He'll run crying to the KHL at the first sign of struggle.

Marcus Kruger traded to the Canes. Could Staal be in play?

Our team is completely awful. What we need is Yakupov.

We got good production out of the last player we brought in that was ruined by the Oilers...

Yakupov is only still in the league because of his draft pedigree...

Also, Kruger and Staal are not at all related...

Yakupov could absolutely stay in the league and be a 3rd/4th liner if he gave up trying to be a skilled player and changed his game

The player with no hockey sense will become a defensive player...? Or is he just going to run around the rink chasing the puck around for 11 minutes...?

I'd take that deal.
And you would probably put up more points than Yakupov will... :pop:

The Caps have $5.5M in space, 10 NHL forwards signed (including Pelly), 5 NHL D (including Chorney) and their second line wingers are Burakovsky and Wilson.
