drive to Sarafino's and then don't tell anyone about the place plzWhat's good near the airport? We're staying at the airport tomorrow night and won't get into the area until 8ish. Will probably just pick something in Robinson but maybe there is a standout recommendation worth going to.
A work buddy recommends Brick N' Mortar in Heidelberg.

Eh there's not much in Robinson other than chains. Central Diner is a solid breakfast option though. What's good near the airport? If you don’t mind the borderline cheesy atmosphere, I think mission bbq is pretty good. It’s a chain, but I think the bbq and prices are both good enough, especially when we are talking Robinson here.

Twin peaks, where all classy Pittsburghers take their significant others

Yeah, that's the thing, if it's a 'chain' that we don't have in Latrobe it's new to me.
We really like Cheddar's, probably because they have one everywhere we go on vacation but not here in western, PA. You have to go to beautiful Wheeling or Morgantown to dine there.

My gf went to a christmas white elephant type event at the yard in Robinson and the after party was at twin peaks. She was not aware of the twin peaks schtick until it was too late.Twin peaks, where all classy Pittsburghers take their significant others

The Twin Peaks outside of Camp Lejeune was shut down for being a brothel while I was there. It eventually reopened and the contracting company I worked for had a team building lunch there on Fridays.
My Dad took us to Tilted Kilt in Morgantown one time. Yikes.

The Yard isn't horrible. Also Industry Public house is cool too. If you're feeling Mexican El Campesino is pretty good.

Apparently House of 1000 Beers in Warrendale closed permanently last week.
It was a fun to check out a couple different styles when we'd go, but it was so far out of the way compared to everything else we could go to if we wanted half-decent beer.

Went to Bella’s on fort couch road yesterday. I know Allegheny county is overstuffed with aging boomers but this place was jammed with boomers/silent generation types. Dining room definitely hasn’t been remodeled in the past 15 years.
I would like to compile a comprehensive list of restaurants that fit this same description (old people clientele, old people vibe). Examples
Dipietros in west view (rip)
Dicks diner in murrysville (before it was renovated)
Mohans in Penn hills
Esta esta in monroeville

****. We loved going there.

I'd suggest coming out to Rizzos and asking to sit in the dining room if you need to scratch that itch.
Or Rocky's Route 8 for a dive bar/Italian restaurant setting. He owns one of the restaurants in Bloomfield as well.

I think the answer is, any sit down restaurant in the Pittsburgh area that has been open since the 1990's.

I used to love Dipietros steak hoagies. Unfortunately, they gave different members of my family food poisoning on multiple occasions so we had to swear them off.
