Keeping Tellez around a few extra days instead of an extra reliever made a lot of sense.

Still a bunch of stuff has to go wrong to lose that game, but still...

Meh. Won a game the night before that they shouldn't have. Lost last night a game they shouldn't have. Although being, what, no hit from the 4th? on doesn't give you a ton of 'we should've had this one' chips.

Still a bunch of stuff has to go wrong to lose that game, but still...

Bullpen was already short staffed because ortiz was unavailable after a long outing Monday. Seemed like it was a risk to leave jones in during the 6th. Seemed like a risk to try and get holderman to go two full and extremely high stress innings. Seemed like this bullpen situation caused problems, and rowdy hasn’t even played in this series
