We go every time we visit my kids in Rochester and State College or my parents in Williamsport, but they’re not price sensitive trips. They are omg we gotta get their baked goods, and coffees, and cool cheeses, etc, etc….
If they become an actual grocery trip option price will matter more.

GE and Wegmans are both pretty pricey, but thats where the comparison stops. Wegmans is so much better and it's not even close.

Agreed. However, I will mention that the prepared food prices at Wegmans have skyrocketed over the last few years. I've got one across the road from the office in Wilmington. One notable example is a BLT costing $13.50 now. No sides.GE and Wegmans are both pretty pricey, but thats where the comparison stops. Wegmans is so much better and it's not even close.

Wegmans is expensive if you’re not paying attention.
In our area Giant (not giant eagle… we don’t have those) is the expensive one and not as good as wegmans.
I don’t know if this is just an our area thing, but wegmans produce sucks. It’s possible we just shop at the wrong time, but nothing is ever abundantly in stock and it all looks terrible.

Giant's fruit has been an issue for us recently. More than once I've cracked open a container of strawberries to find the ones in the middle with hairy mold. Conversely, everything we have ever bought at Fresh Market is perfect and lasts longer.

Luckily, farmers markets started up here in the last couple weeks and our CSA starts in a week or two, so shopping the produce section at the store will largely be limited to citrus.

I'm surprised Giant hasn't move into western PA yet. There were so many more options when we lived in MD. Giant, Safeway, Food Lion, and Martin's were all close to where we lived.

Not to be confused with Giant/Landover, which is owned by the same company.

I have one 10 minutes from me.All I have is Walmart, Giant Eagle and a lame Shop n Save, you’re goddamn right I’m going to Cranberry for Wegman’s. It might not be cheaper than Giant Eagle but the quality is far better.
It's too expensive so I only go occasionally.

I always considered Giant Eagle and Wegmans fairly close price-wise. The main difference between the two that I've heard is that GE heavily depends on which GE you're in versus pretty much every Wegmans is baller. But a nice GE or Market District is pretty comparable price and quality wise IMO.
Wegmans bakery definitely takes the cake, though.
Cranberry would be the perfect location for one as a satellite or feeler store. Lots of Whole Foods/Market District Range Rover driving Han Solo moms out there.

So the initial answer was phenomenal, but the “waaaaaaaat?” And super sad “no.” Had me rolling.
