Bednar has pitched 11.1 innings in May and given up 3 runs. Seems to generally be back to himself. Holderman has been nasty.

I was a big fan of his in the 70's and he was one of the best players for five years but he sullied his reputation and career stats with the coke use/scandal.

Speaking of, Dale Berra was unrecognizable at the ceremony today.

Bednar has pitched 11.1 innings in May and given up 3 runs. Seems to generally be back to himself. Holderman has been nasty.

His off speed stuff is still not there. But he’s an asset out of the bullpen at least. Holderman took a big step forward, basically the only bullpen guy to do that.

Offense is miraculously improved by not giving at bats to bad players.

The mustache energy from Skenes and Gonzales can’t be understated.

Hopefully Hayes’ “injury” rehab helps him play better.

Was Candy Man there last night? I was not a Pirates fan in 1979 - still living in MA - but I remember watching that World Series. Man, Pittsburgh in the 70s was something else.
