I have a gold and platinum wedding ring that I wear when I leave the house most days. When I get home, I take it off. When we go on vacation, I usually don't take it for fear of losing it or having it stolen.

My wife largely does the same.

20 years this April.
Why take them off at all? I only take off my rings if I'm afraid it will get caught in sometime and hurt my finger (climbing, some equipment in lab).

My ring is too small, I can't take it off. My wife drew blood putting it on at the wedding.

I know two people through ultimate that got matching tattoos on their ring fingers so they'd be able to do things without their rings while symbolically still having something there.
Do they have a shared Facebook account?
... no?

It's a lot easier to play a sport that requires the use of your hands without a ring.

I wasn't going to get something real expensive for the wedding, but I found a ring that is comfort fit. It was a little more pricey than what I wanted for my band, but I'm actually looking forward to putting it on because of how smooth it is. I didn't want to take it off to put it back away until the wedding day.

If youre wearing a wedding band, no measurable impact. I can buy it for a ring with a stone.

Was joke, mate. A wedding ring you can't take of screams insecurity. Like a joint Facebook account. Put another way, which one of them cheated?

I don't wear a ring when I shower and when I work on cars. That's about it. I feel naked without it. On the off chance I do forget it on the sink I spend all day subconsciously pressing my thumb to where the ring would be.

I'll take my ring off if when I go to the gym or if I'm working outside/around the house but that's it. The first few weeks to a month it bugged me and I constantly fiddled with it. Now when I don't have it on it bothers me the same way.

*shrug* I think the tattoo'd wedding ring idea doesn't really scream insecurity or cheating. Maybe they're just artsy.

I feel like a lightweight, properly fitted ring wouldn't pose a problem for most men. Alas, there are still some weirdos out there.
:thumb:

Be honest, how many of you tubbies gained weight after the wedding and now your fingers are too fat to get the ring on? :pop:

Honestly, I don't like to sleep with it on, so basically, I take it off when I get home from work and leave it in the same place, so that I can easily find it in the morning and put it back on in the morning. Also, I do most of the cooking and I don't want food stuff stuck in it.

On vacation, I'd be afraid of losing it while swimming in the ocean or at a waterpark with the kids, etc. So easier just not to bring it.

I do the same thing. I take my watch and ring off when I get home. Been a decade and I have managed not to lose the ring or any of my watches.

Hah, when I got my wife her engagement ring she would swim in the ocean with a clenched fist.

We lived on an island in NC at the time so we swam every day. Best two summers of my life.

I wear mine any time I leave the house, but almost always take it off when I get home. If we have people over, I'll put it on. I don't like to shower, sleep, clean the house, etc. while wearing it. The only time I won't wear it in public is when I'm playing golf. My wife is okay with this, as she understands, and even seems a bit happy, that golf is my nice weather mistress.

I don't wear a ring either. My wife doesn't mind
Is this a "thing"? The thought of not wearing a ring has never even crossed my mind. Is there some functional reason for not wearing one, or something else?
I am...... differently proportioned from when we got hitched, and I can't re-size my titanium ring. So I wear it on a necklace with a guitar pick pendant.

I learned it in Iraq because I processed 9-line medevac requests. heh.

It sounds completely made up, so whatever, but we had a third country national get his 'junk' caught in a HMMWV somehow, it came across as a penile degloving. That and the guy that got shot in the balls were the two most 'OMG' inducing requests, everything else was just your average war injuries.
